This Pakistani bowling attack is the worst I’ve seen in a very long time. What’s happened to their bowlers? I honestly reckon some of the batsmen I played with in grade cricket would have no problems handling this rubbish. Sad and pathetic for a supposed test team. Or is it a case of half the test teams being good and half the teams being crap? Really bad situation for test cricket. _________________ I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️ |

^ I think some of the national cricket authorities are their own worst enemies - in Pakistan's case, they rolled out home wickets in the Tests against Australia that were deliberately designed to render all-time great pace bowlers (eg Cummins) completely irrelevant. The problem with that approach is that if you make having good fast-bowling mostly irrelevant to your team's gameplan, you can look very silly, very quickly on fast pitches, like Perth.
Meanwhile, Special K is out for 41. 1/127. |

Apart from Warner's audacious six, two sweetly timed cover drives to the rope, from Smudge, were the next most memorable strokes. _________________ Donny.

Warner gone for 164 from 211 balls. Threw his bat tiredly at a barrage of bumpers (one went for 6) but holed out trying to put another ball into the crowd.
Australia 5/321. |
