Very happy for Josh, despite the telecast being strange really, get the feeling sometimes Josh is like an after thought to Nick, this is an amazing achievement winning Copeland in a Flag Year, we dont have too many of those running around

Best tackle of the year? Was it Darcy Moore on Ollie Henry in round 1? I'm sure Henry would be pleased to have contributed to the Pies Winning GF season 2023.

Bruzzy had some spectacular repeat efforts also.

Bobby Hill's Starcevich take down on GF day was great too

Gavin Brown Award = Beau McCreery

Best defensive pressure.
The Coverage was pretty amateurish. was Beau presented with the Award? Hard to tell if he was or it was just a screw up and they missed it.

Not much feedback from viewers.
I thought it was extremely disappintingon so many fronts.
Go back to the live stream . that was better.
I think time constraints perhaps as well as music copyright affected the telecast.
It was rushed.
Spent time giving interviews to others , such as wheelchair and vfl. But other players Beau [ sight unseen] Mihochek , didn't want to talk and then not presenting our 4th and 5th players with their awards was disappointing.

Such big breaks with no explanation .It lacked atmosphere or excitement. I would say pretty boring.

It all sounded very flat.

Bring back the old days, when the votes were read out after every game. everything
has been so condensed.

While I am at it,
we did have the most courageous award which I thought was the Darren Millane one. It must have changed. They should recognise the work of our defenders. Quanor polled really well
but I would have give Murphy most courageous.

I watched the telecast on Fox and really enjoyed it. recapped some Fox interviews during breaks while the audience was eating, it worked for me.

My Mother who supports Norf watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great presentation for mine, surprising but great outcome for Josh to win.

He had 276 after round 24, and ended up with 301, which means he got 25 in the finals

It was a big surprise to have Josh Daicos win the Copeland. I would have rated Nick Daicos, Jordan DeGoey and Jack Crisp as superior for this season.
That said I'm very pleased for Josh to have won it, as it must be tough to have his younger brother get so much attention, even though it is deserved since Nick is probably the best player in the game.
Whilst Josh was "serviceable" during the finals I'll always be appreciative of his terrific effort in the last minute of the Preliminary when Jamie Elliot kicked the ball to open territory on Daicos' wing and Josh took off after the ball with Josh Kelly and another GWS player chasing him. Whilst not noted for his pace, Josh got control of the ball, then managed to out maneuver Kelly then with a "cm perfect" footpass put the ball lace out for Will Hoskin-Elliot to ice the game. That effort alone would have earnt a couple of Copeland votes in my mind.

Ok was the Fox telecast different to the Kayo telecast? Did you get different interviews then on the Fox telecast?

The kayo version showed the GF 1st quarter and the AFL360 post GF interview with Fly in the breaks. I thought they'd stuffed up the stream as sometimes happens on Kayo when watching the replay. I was watching from the start but about half hour behind live.

Sounds like Foxtel and Kayo were the same, but I thought it was the GF highlights then AFL360.

Still don't know how it's possible he got any votes in the finals.
