Taylor Adams Reminds me a lot of Tony Shaw as a Player. Not the most Skillful Player but gives everything to the Team to win the Game _________________ I am Da Man |

Actually that’s not a bad comparison. Not every player is a Chris Judd or a Dustin Martin. You need to have players who play in the dirt and grime when the game gets tough and Taylor Adams is one of those players who leads by example. Unfortunately ocassionally he gives the ball away in critical situations where the score is tight and can make the difference between winning and losing. He needs to fix up that part of his game and when he does he’ll be winning Copeland trophies instead of Sidebottom and Pendlebury. Tony Shaw wasn’t a good kick but I can’t remember if he turned the ball over as much as Taylor Adams. Adams actually has a good kicking action. I think it’s more that he wills himself to the ball so often and then is under mental pressure when he gives the ball off. Most players don’t play their best football till they play between 100-200 games. I don’t think Tony Shaw’s first 100 games were that good. Adams is the same. His best football is ahead of him. |

Good comparison, I think Taylor's disposal is superior to Shawry's as the game was a tad slower back then so he had more time to get a kick off. |

Taylor in his start at Collingwood was a bit shabby only with disposal
That tho cannot be applied to his team first approach
A mate commented on a game where Mitch Robinson landed a punch flush on his chin —-Tay looked at Mitch with a “Is that all you’ve got “ look
But back to his disposal and he is is not regressing but most definitely progressing to betterment _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

And in fairness, Shaw’s kicking abilities would be put under more pressure and scrutiny these days. He’d still find it repeatedly and will himself to be involved but I would think in today’s game, Adams would be a more effective player ( and that’s not a slight on Shaw at all ) |

Well, at 250% magnification, it looks like he is wearing a beret or something like that. More importantly, I now think he's holding a paintbrush in his left hand and a paint palette in his right. The man's an artist! |
