I think McInnes comes in for Checkers, We will need some additional height/aerial presence in F50 to offset the loss of Checkers. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Perhaps this is an opportunity for McStay to come in as a straight swap.
Alternatively, with De Goey's inclusion, perhaps we'll end up just shuffling around a few players and otherwise going in unchanged. Though I'm not sure Harrison stays on as sub in that scenario (so maybe that's where McInnes comes in). _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

DeGoey will likely spend more time forward with Naicos in the guts. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

DeGoey straight back into the guts, resting forward. Naicos will start outside the centre square for 50% of the game.
I'd bring Reef in for Checkers and make McStay play a VFL game to get some touch. He hasn't played for months and lets face it he wasn't setting the world on fire before he got injured, get him some game time in the VFL. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

It makes sense to bring in someone (like for like) in form and full of confidence - Reef McInnes
Checkers: 30, 192cm, 99kg
McInnes: 20, 194cm, 90kg
Reef is a mobile player with good height and size, give him the chance to shine in a position he excels...
Besides, if he grows his Mo anything like Markov's, his future is set :>)) _________________ Jamie Elliott...you beauty

I reckon we bring AJ in. Embarrassed himself on the weekend and will be hurting inside and he could get the chance to redeem himself with a day out we know he is capable of. |

I think Reef has earned it. If he doesn’t get a gig this week he’ll be wondering what the hell he has to do. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

I think it's fair enough to expect consistent VFL form over a few weeks rather than a bag of goals against weak opposition. I have no doubt Reef's doing well at VFL level most weeks, but he's far from Robinson Crusoe on that front, and some consistent VFL performers (Macrae, Bianco, Ruscoe apart from Anzac Day) haven't had a crack at all this year.
So he's not owed a spot – it has to become available and he has to earn it, both through good VFL form and taking his chances at senior level when they arise. He didn't do that in his last outing, unfortunately. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Yeah but I’m talking about like for like. Reef is a leading and marking forward. A bit smaller yes, but to me I’d have him ahead of the others for Checkers role, including McStay. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Interesting that Mihocek is only listed as out for 1 week at this stage on the AFL website. It's often been said in football circles that there is no such thing as a 1 week hamstring. We shall see.
If we believe Mihocek could benefit from a rest and we're being extra cautious then making that decision in a week when McStay is seemingly set to return and after a terrific victory a tall like Frampton doesn't warrant being omitted it might be the perfect opportunity to get valuable game time in to 2 KPP while resting another before the run home.
While all of us would agree that Mihocek missing wasn't the answer we were after to the whole Frampton/McStay debate, for 1 week at least it would make selection easier while providing a potential benefit for all 3 players. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Miochek has only kicked one goal in total in his last three games.
While he’s still played an important role in all those games, it’s not like his scoreboard impact has been the catalyst to our wins. It’s his strength, smarts and repeat efforts that will be sorely missed.
This weeks changes will be one of the more interesting team selection meetings. |
