Got the 4 points and a big win in the end, despite being shaky along the way.
Major concerns are De Goey's impending suspension and the injuries to Beau, WHE and Bobby. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

We played some Good Footy but Also playing so Appaling Footy espically in 3rd Qtr but we did respond well in last Qtr.
De Goey Gone for at least 2 weeks and Injuries to WHE and Beau and Hill and Johnson not 100% at end of Game

Ginni had a dirty day but no way would I drop him for Melbourne — he’s made for the blockbuster games |

Glad we responded. Found a gear we had to. Line for mine was 75 so an unders performance.
Comes at a cost which is hopefully only JDG. Hope he gets offered 2 but might be straight to the tribunal. Hopefully others are ok. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

After all that, bigger winning margin than port. They were looking like 35 goals early in the second |

The 2 ruckmen did well.
Influenced the game in a positive way.
Nick D is a running machine.
A few players were down in form like Ginny and Hoskin Elliot.
We won by 10 goals plus.
Can't complain about that. |

Ginnivan was good last week, but poor today.
I don't think he gets dropped off the back of one poor performance especially if Elliott isn't back next week. He might go back to being the sub though. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Looked like a season defining game, but hopefully the only casualty is JDG with suspension.
I felt that without Elliot and with McCreery injured, our forward line pressure dropped away markedly. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

We won, didn't lose, got 4 points not 0. Lost JDG for 2 or 3 games and some minor injuries that may be ok. All in all not great but move on.
Hard what to make of that period when we went in for tea and scones while the Eagles were resurrecting the ghosts of 2018 and Yeo & Sheed looked like Judd & Cousins tearing it up. I would be lying if I said that these nanna naps didn't concern me.
We'll see what attitude we bring next week. _________________ RED "BABY" CAVANAUGH: Didn't hear what the bet was.

The final margin was pretty much what you would have expected before the match, but boy oh boy,do we make it hard for ourselves sometimes. The second and third quarters were our death quarters yet again.
Shame about Degoey,he was absolutely flying until he hit that player. Then he went into his shell, and it definitely affected him mentally. He’s going to be hard to replace in the next couple of weeks.
