Imagine (god forbid!) that Collingwood ceased to exist. Would you quit following football or follow another team?
To me if you would follow another club it says you put football ahead of Collingwood. |

Collingwood first for me.
But a very hard to make a decision now, Rohan, based on a hypothetical Q that would never happen in my lifetime.
Cant give you an answer. |

Firstly Rohan, where on earth do you get these ideas from?
This will NEVER happen.
I don't think many true Pies Supporters could or would find a replacement.
For me it would be the end of Football.
I feel sorry for Fitzroy supporters, after all, Brisbane is NOT Fitzroy. |

I love watching footy, no doubt about that, but I doubt I would still want to if the pies no longer existed. My footy passion would die out with them. I couldn't follow another team ever like I do the pies, just impossible. _________________ Bec

Many years ago I moved to South Oz, before the AFL was established, and I tried to get interested in a SA team AS WELL as following Collingwood in the VFL. Well try as I might, choosing Port Adelaide initially and then shifting to West Adelaide when ex Collingwood coach moved there, it really didn't bother me greatly if these teams lost. Ho-hum, that's football, I would say.
No if Collingwood ceased to exist, I would no doubt watch football because it's a great game, but I would never feel that passion and emotional high or low you get when your team wins (or loses). Psychologically I belong with Collingwood and I can't imagine changing teams and ever feeling the same thrill. |

There is no such thing as replacing Collingwood. The juggernaught is too big emotion wise.
Swan Districts have won about the last 4 wooden spoons in the wafl but I still like them....do the black ducks in WA count? |

When watching a match, sure, I would favour some teams over others but there is NO WAY I could replace Collingwood... |

About 20 years ago i decided to give football away completly when Collingwood sacked Tom Hafey as coach. It was my way of protesting. Not long after, I moved to Adelaide for 3 years and didn't get into football at all, then i moved up to the Territory for 18 months and you couldn't get any further from the VFL then. But I moved back to Melbourne in 1988 and from then on, little by little, it started coming back to me. I never really could give up the Pies, it's in my blood and I've never looked back, so no, there's no other team for me |

It's a hypothetical that will never happen.
IMO Collingwood fans differ from most other clubs in that they support Collingwood first and football second. I do the same however I was just wondering if any other people thought like that. |
