who was our previuos admin.
they shoudl hang their head in shame.
Talk about a mess of contracts Trelor Grundy etc.......
Who are they.
Now we have to sort out the mess.
Been like this since around 2011 as well.
Horrible admin by Collingwood then.
I feel we have a new admin.
The whole club has transformed in to something alot more professional.
i like the staff there now too.
Nice reception staff.
thought 2011-2021 they took us for granted.
2022 times those times changed. |

Ned Guy played a part but he has been the main scapegoat in our contract negotiation fails with Treloar, Stephenson and Grundy in particular.
No way Guy would have gone rogue and pushed those deals through without the all clear from Eddie, Bux and Pert. These contract decisions were all made with selfish intentions, to win a flag in 2019 and ratify the coaching succession plan. Pay a few "key" players a lot more in future years to keep them at the club and motivated today to drive a flag. It failed, we blew 2019 and now the new admin is trying to undo past mistakes.
What we should have done is not panic and use our total player payments to sure up the list like the Demons did after 2018. They brought new players in, we just payed existing players more over future years. What a f***up.

Never had a proper player recruiter list manager from 2011-2021 ill say even since Gubby Allan left us mid 90s.
Only personale worthy at 2011-2021 times was Longmure who was coaching us in 2018 anyway and Craig McRae in the overseeing of the devlopement of the likes of Pendles,Sidy and Howe.
The rest were full of themselves.
No wonder they were wasted years. |

I agree inxs88.
Mcguire Buckley Sanderson Harvey Guy Walsh to name a few never ever welcome back at Collingwood.
Still paying the price for their selfish attitudes.
We are still paying dont worry.
Still another 2-3 years away we can say that we are well and truly out of the mess.
Now wonder we never win flags. |

Ed should have stepped down after 2010 like the day after we won the flag which took some winning.
Like our last one wasnt since 1990.
I have had enough of the crap show Collingwood.
We need a bright future now. |

Yep, we paid overs to keep a team together that could make a tilt at a flag.
It nearly worked.
If it had worked in 2018/19, Ed, Walsh, Bucks, et al. would be heros and no one would give a toss about contracts or salary caps.
Unfortunately, it didn't work. |

Also I think the Grundy deal was Eddie making a stand saying we keep the players we want no matter what the cost
If you believe Buckley on SEN yesterday he said the decision was made above the football department and lost management level which really only leaves the board
I doubt Buckley would have gone public if this wasn’t accurate
