He did but list spots are tight and he is an area of the ground that we have a glut of players _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

One thing we'e missing in the forward line mix is size and aggression. The likes of Thomas, WHE, Cox, Elliott, Stephenson aren't going to make you stand taller against a bunch of aggressive backs.
Thinking if Crocker isn't offered a contract, in comes this kid as a rookie via ~
Friday 22 November 2pm - NAB AFL Trade Period Closes (for exchange of selections only); Delisted Primary List Draft Nomination Form Lodgement; Non–Retained Rookie Players Draft Nomination Form Lodgement; Players Not Registered or Played for Three years Rookie List Form Lodgement; New or Expired (after 3 years) Draft Nomination Form Lodgement, AFL Father-Son Bidding Nominations, Final Draft Nomination Form Lodgement. |
Connor Stackelberg has been signed to our VFL team. One of the young blokes from my gym played with him. Reckons in the right environment can thrive, has all the attributes. He thought he'd be similar to Mihocek although a bit more of a lead up forward.
Who knows, a year in the VFL and all going well he ends up as a rookie draft prospect next year.

Baum:
"... Footy is a peculiar industry in that it operates in such a way that it would collapse without volunteers. Years ago, a club executive said to me that if non-paid footy labour ever was unionised, footy would go broke overnight.
But it is an industry, “economic activity concerned with the processing of raw materials and manufacture of goods”, as this week again demonstrated. Trade week reveals footy as a meat market, different from racing only in that processed footballers don’t literally become dog food.
For one thing, like any industry, it depends on the movement of goods. Lengthening trade week and drawing out the last day has served only to create a longer stretch when nothing happens. This makes everyone jittery the way a stalled economy does.
More to the point, as racing humanises horses for its own purpose, football dehumanises footballers." |

1. 2019 National Draft Picks:
* 35, 62 and 74: so only 3 selections
* League stipulates clubs must use min. 3 including rookie upgrades
* Max Lynch shall likely be de-listed now as the 3 year rookie limit is over
* Brody Mihocek can still be retained as a rookie and negotiate a better base
2. 2020 National Draft Picks:
* We have one first rounder, two seconds and two fourths currently
* We have Reef McInnes as an NGA 2020 zoned player
3. List Spots:
* Gone: Goldsack, Wells, Aish
* Been told they're unwanted: Sam Murray and Ben Crocker
* Vulnerable: Dunn, Broomhead, Lynch, Madgen
* Rumoured 1 year deals: Reid, Rupert and Varcoe
* Cat A & B Rookies: Mihocek, Noble, T Wilson, Tohill, Keane, Appleby
4. October 31st
* last day available for player delisting's |
Do we have any updates on this report except Cameron has taken one spot.
I thought we would upgrade Checkers which would mean we have 1 Senior list spot.
Until we do something with the guys on the fringe.
I thought Apples was a "Normal Rookie" and had finished his two years.
Also I thought Nathan Murphy was only signed for two years.
I actually like both but I think that Murphy has more upside.
I was surprised to see "reports" that Maxy Lynch was going to be upgraded I am not sure but at best I think another Rookie year would be the best he could get.. _________________ Bucks you just reckon he can still cut it in the middle |

It would be totally insulting to Mihocek in my book if he were not officially upgraded to the senior list. What more does he have to do to earn a senior contract??? He was after all, the leading goal kicker this season!!! |

Thought he had 3 Seasons and we had to make room for 1 for Wilson.
I have Wilson over Madgen _________________ I am Da Man |
