No it doesn’t work like that anymore 🙄 Grundy was supposedly extremely homesick for Adelaide but then he forgot about this and ended up at Melbourne. So go figure out how that works 😫😳 _________________ I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️ |

There can be only two players allowed to wear mullets, and the Daicos boys have genetic inheritance to claim that. Sorry Poulter, should have got a haircut |

Looks like my avatar curse strikes again. First Buckley's hammy and retirement, then Seedsman followed by Josh Thomas and now Poulter.
I would like to have seen Poulter given another chance but I do not think he was up to it. _________________ How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say? |

Thank you to both Jack Madgen and Caleb Poulter. Thanks for playing for the pies. Good luck with your future endeavours.
I always liked Jack Madgen. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Thanks Madge, I think you made the absolute most of your talent and opportunities and for that you should be absolutely proud of your contribution to the club and the team.
Caleb, I would have liked to see you get another go, but the club clearly thinks differently and they're in the better position to decide, so thanks for bringing one of the best mulletts ever to the CFC, best wishes to both of you _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I was never convinced that Madgen had the skills to be an AFL player but he always gave 110%. A smart club would pick him up for a VFL team to teach young players about courage and commitment while others taught skills.
Poulter looked promising in 2021. Less so this year. Even if Sidey lost form next year there are players that you would place on the wing ahead of Poulter. That being said the Crows list is not that good and I am surprised that they didn't show any interest in Poulter. _________________ Born and raised in Black and White |

They may not have been interested in giving up anything in a trade, but perhaps a PSD/rookie draft pick may be a different question. Might be a long shot, but would be nice to see if it transpires. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Madgen wasn't blessed with natural talent, but he gave everything for the club. A player like that should always should be appreciated by the supporters.
Apparently he was close to receiving a contract extension due to a games trigger clause in his contract, but he just fell short of playing the required number of games because of his elbow injury.
Poulter looked like a decent prospect last year, but fell out of favour this year. Saw him a few times in the VFL and he didn't stand out from the pack. Hopefully he get another go elsewhere. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

RB, in his defence, that laconic, sort of dead-pan expression seems to be the same whether he's playing football or baby-sitting Crispy's kids. It's his personality.
Billy Elliott has had a similar sort of outward expression for ten plus years. I've only noticed him really smiling broadly this past season (when he's certainly had something to smile about!! )
No-one can accuse Billy of not having any passion for his footy or the team!!! Yet, I can remember in his early days he was accused of not caring for similar reasons - didn't display enough passion and excitement!.
Some people are just introverts and find it difficult to display joy and passion when supporters think they should. |

I thought Madge earned another year and Poulter had the potential to go on. Thanks for your efforts though and wish you all the best. _________________ Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero. |

Fair call PP. However, in this particular case I was not surprised he didn't make it. In Elliott's case, he may not have smiled much, but he has always played with dynamism and full on commitment. I never once doubted Elliott's passion or connection with his teammates. |

Magden becomes a memorable player.
For good reasons, not bad ones.
Thats quite an accomplishment for a workman like 49 games.
You can only fault him for not being taller or faster or nimbler.
If only all players applied themselves with the same tenacity
I would love to see him involved in the VFL |
