True, but it would be nice to be able to remove Wills's brain and implant it into Sier's body. |

No issue with who we cut today. Both gave good service to the club, but now it's time to go. I would have gone further and cut Mayne, Sier, Greenwood and Lynch if it meant we kept Stephenson and Treloar. Our midfield is obviously now devastated. Our priority is with recruiting midfielders to replace those we lost. Secondary to that is recruiting a tall forward. I think we're in for a very lean year next year. If only we had better managed our salary cap. Lamentable situation with Treloar that we back ended his contract then asked him for a pay cut. Football clubs don't recover from these sorts of situations. |

Ok, I’m confused.
Next year, list sizes total 44, including 2 cat B rookies. So, a primary list of 36-38, plus the balance in Cat A rookies up to 42.
This year our list size was 38 + 5 cat A + 4 Cat B. = 47 players
We have seen 12 players depart post season.
That means we bring in 9 newbies for 2021.
We have 6 draft picks ATM, 2 of which carry zero draft points (75 and 92). Therefore that probably means 4 picks on draft night, plus any extra picks that we might trade in from next year.
Does this mean we are going heavy on rookie picks, delisted free agents and upgraded category B’s? Or does it just wash out through the process somehow? |

About bloody time! They don’t even get their own “farewell and thanks” threads, that’s how good they were. |

So now we have 11 spots to fill minus a couple for the list size adjustment (someone can confirm), how the heck do we fill them with 3 picks in the draft and if my mail is correct will only be 2... _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. It's called a restructure with a redundancy program.
The jobs some players were doing are not going to be done by anybody.
Alternatively, the blokes that weren't getting a kick have been let go as why do you need two players not getting a kick when one can perform that role just as well as two can? |

How the fire truck does Carlton get away changing Eddie Betts to a rookie?! Same pay, but counted outside the cap. Surely this is rorting the system! |

Can we move Grundy to the Rookie list?
It would free up some cap space.. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |
