Thought I'd be a tosser and attach "Official". But as it stands we now have:
1. Tyson Goldsack
2. Daniel Wells
3. Sam Murray
off the Pies list pending October 31. Shall be interesting to see who else falls out over the next two weeks. As stated previously:
Likely departees:
4. Ben Reid: Body Broken
5. Ben Crocker: spare the fans more grief
6. Tim Broomhead: see Ben Reid
7. Lynden Dunn: Dicky Knee
8. Travis Varcoe: if we win he'll retire, if we lose he may be blamed/delisted
9. Max Lynch: Darcy Cameron wants your locker number
10. Jack Madgen: Hey Aussie Boomers! "Need a hand"?
Rumoured:
11. Jamie Elliott: "Go Dees"!
12. Phil Inn: What Jack Madgen said

Madgen will surely be kept on the list, and I have a feeling Lynch will be given one more year to develop. Not sure where Sier is at now but you’d think he might get one more year, and hard to know whether Varcoe will choose to play on. Suspect you’re right on time being up for Broomhead, Crocker, Dunn and Reid (unless the latter stars in the next two weeks, maybe!) _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Sier was offered a two year deal two days before he thought he was Ben Simmons in Banyule!! Might be a regretful decision to chase the hoops. Think they'll keep him though for what it's worth. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

A few others that I'll throw out there. Not that I wish it upon any of them. Just saying.
Beams. Retirement due to ongoing mental health issues.
Daicos. Seeking opportunities elsewhere due to lack of game time.
Mayne. If we win, he is out of contract and may go out on a high.
Shaz. May want a trade elsewhere after getting dropped for the finals |

is it possible that Collingwood has a rehabilitation plan for this that involved the Berg playing 4-5 games and then shutting it down? he is just such a good player. i cant believe he isnt an automatic selection. All i can think of is that the medicos are taking a careful approach with him and have decided that his knee might not be ready for a finals campaign.
I bet the kid would like to get the knee strong enough to play for many seasons to come. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Beams shall come back and have a great 2020
Daicos under contract with a year to go
Mayne under contract with a year to go
Shaz: rumours of other clubs keen were seemingly shot down. Deserves 2020 with us to see if he can make it _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

I might add in Greenwood.
He turns 31 next year. But next year will pretty much be a right off due to his knee reco. 2021 he will be 32, and coming back from a long term injury such as this. I am not really sure would be anywhere near best 22 by then.
He may elect to pull the pin at the end of the year. |

Grundy and his management seem to be toying with Collingwood (as is their right), simply to get more dosh imo. I'm not knocking Brodie. Good luck to him. Footy is a business after all.
However, Grundy's stated position is blatantly contradictory. He says he has to decide whether to return home to Adelaide where his family is, yet his management are asking for a 7 yr deal to stay at the Pies. Surely, if he is being tempted to return back home, a shorter deal at Collingwood would be more attractive, so he can review his feelings in another 3 yrs?
At the end of the day, I reckon he'll sign a 5 yr deal with the Pies. Heads would roll if we let the greatest ruckman, perhaps of all time, slip through our fingers, just as we have assembled a team capable of winning multiple Premierships. |

All posturing via his Agent Robby DeRazio. Give him 5 years at $1,000,000, shake hands and move on! _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

A good example of waiting till end of season for fringe or bottom 6 players to be re-contracted. Was signed up in August and did the knee 2 weeks later. They should offer him a two year Assistant coaching gig and subtly nudge him to retire. 32 with a dud knee and the likely emergence of youth should see him and the club consider a Plan B _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

I'm not sure that makes it official - nothing on our website yet. |
