Selwood finished with 25 possies and FWIW was 5th overall according to Dream Team points.

Borderline for getting votes you would think.

So Pendles needs a big one tomorrow - 40 possessions plus would be nice.

Ablett (33 disposals, 4.1) is a possible 10 votes although Prestia (33) and Rischetelli (25) also had big games.

If GA does get max, Pendles will need a 9 or 10 to beat him.

For Pendles to beat Selwood, he needs a 10 if Selwood only gets 4.

Jack, still a possibility.

Pendles on 18 disposals. 1 goal, 1 tackle at half time.

Pendles was probably best for us but Ziebel and Bastinac were best in the winning side.

Uphill task for our man.

Think Ablett may get over Selwood, unless Scott gave him enough votes to ensure that he wins it.

Pendles our best but won't get more than 6 at the most.

Ablett will probably get 10 but don't discount pendles to get 8 to draw with Gazza! Got a feeling he will get 7 though. Scott will give him 3 and bucks 4......Still a chance!

Has anyone seen the votes for the last round ?

In other years, have they kept them back for a mid week announcement, or presentation night ?

Still waiting. I do recall in years gone by that the last 2- 4 rounds may have been sealed and the winner announced at some function - maybe AA announcement. Guess they are doing the same sort of thing, although strange to only have 1 round to be released.

Scott Pendlebury claims the AFL coaches' Association award

Daryl Timms From Herald Sun September 03, 2013 9:53PM

Quote:

COLLINGWOOD on-baller Scott Pendlebury has made a well-timed charge to claim the AFL Coaches' Association player of the year award.

Pendlebury hit the lead for the first time with his performance against North Melbourne in the final home-and-away round last Sunday.

He was in third place going into the last round, five votes behind the leader, Geelong skipper Joel Selwood, and three behind Sydney's Kieren Jack.

TOP SIX

96: Scott Pendlebury (Collingwood)

95: Gary Ablett (Gold Coast)

94: Joel Selwood (Geelong)

92: Kieran Jack (Sydney)

78: Ryan Griffen (Western Bulldogs)

77: Dane Swan (Collingwood)

The four leaders all received votes in the final round - Pendlebury (nine), Ablett (10), Selwood (two) and Jack (two). Ablett leap- frogged Selwood and Jack with his perfect score against Greater Western Sydney, but fell two short of winning.

Congratulations Scotty. Smile

How come Abblett couldn't score 12 out of 10 to take the award out? Pfft! It's obviously rigged.

Congratulations Pendles.

Fantastic effort. One of the coaches gave him BOG and the other 2nd best.

My view this is the award you really want to win as it is the coaches, not umps or journos voting.

Lets hope that this is an omen of things for September.
