^Went to Tottenham vs. Southampton today. Perfect weather, love the new stadium. A 4-1 win helped, too. _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Are you a Spurs fan, PTID?
They look strong under Conte. Could be the biggest threat to the Man City/Liverpool duopoly. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Defo. We were singing 'Antonio, Antonio' yesterday! The bloke ran almost as far as the players inside his coaching area
I was a Man United fan when when younger because a mate brought me back a United shirt from Hong Kong with no. 7 on the back when King Cantona was wearing it. At uni I had Daicos and Cantona posters up - the Marvel and The King
But I and stopped watching through the 00s, except perhaps to watch Timmy Cahill's highlights and the Aussies (been to two World Cups - Korea/Japan and Germany).
When we moved here I started watching Premier League again (when in Rome...), but didn't really feel the love for anyone (my local team is Reading, but the chances of them playing in the Premier League are too slim). I also thought it was too easy to choose a top 4 team, plus Manchester and Liverpool are nowhere near here. Supporting them here is very different to supporting them from Oz, because here they're in rival counties/cities, so it doesn't feel right.
Sonny naturally caught our eye being Korean, so before we knew it we were loosely and then intently following them. So Spurs it is.
My first game was also Spurs versus Southampton down in Southampton because it's not that far and easier to get tickets. Yesterday was our first trip to the new Spurs stadium.
I guess I also felt there was some similarity with the Pies ('Spursiness' reminds me a lot of the Colliwobbles, though no grand finals of course). We actually drove down White Hart Lane yesterday, which was about as dodgy as pre-gentrified Collingwood!
At the moment we're juggling the Maggies, Spurs and LG Twins (Korean baseball), so this is defo the best time of year for sport! _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

My Cousin Maureen and her wife go for Spurs and go every week. My Grandfather played for them in the 50's. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

^Wow, nice. I guess if you name drop it will blow your cover.
I have no clue about Spurs history before the Premier League. I used to watch the weekly wrap on SBS (or was it ABC?) on Monday nights in the 90s, but for the life of me can't recall when Lineker and Gazza played for them. The earliest team I remember was 1992/93 (Campbell, Anderton, Sheringham). _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

Fantastic
I've been a Chelsea fan since the days of Ken Bates' ownership (pre-dates Abramovich's takeover in 2003), but it runs through older family members who grew up loving the likes of Peter Osgood, Ron 'Chopper' Harris and Terry Venables.
Conte is a fantastic coach. Did a brilliant job at Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan winning top flight titles with all of them. His enthusiasm is infectious which I fondly remember when he was coaching Chelsea. He'll take Spurs far if he's given proper backing and support from Levy.
Son and Kane are a deadly partnership. The fact that they didn't score on the weekend despite Spurs' dominance over Southampton is a good sign. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023
