He will be a player.
But I suspect he wont be an A grader.
Which will be very disappointing.

Yep, he'll carve out a decent career but he wont be a star, for his body shape he isn't overly strong, he isn't fast and he isn't good in close, Hine took a big gamble on this kid and so far it's backfired.

Second year player! Give the kid some time to develop.

Way too premature to make statements as to whether he's a gun or a flop.

That never stopped him from going down media street a couple of weeks ago.
If you want to make statements in the paper, you best expect them coming the other way about your own form...

I think he'll be OK, needs a lot of polish - strength, kicking and marking (if he is going to be a forward target) all need a lot of work.

Just needs to go back to basics. Needs to give the first option every time. He is running around like he is still playing U18's football. Trying to break every tackle but he is not strong enough yet..... Also needs a new pair of boots. The amount of times he slips over at important times is concerning.

DeGoey will be a very good player. Unfortunately the club is not in a position to ease him into football, we've had to throw him in to the deep end.

He was part of the Blair goal last night which was basically the sealer so it was good to see him bounce back after making some errors earlier.

Look at the players picked before him in the draft, McMartin, Petracca, Brayshaw & Picket, none have yet to show any real consistency.

Although he could do with a spell in the 2's just to get some confidence back.

He showed good and bad last night. Biggest thing is to improve his speed of mind but this may be due to mental fatigue. He is playing a tough role that usually goes to more experienced players. Will have a breakout year in 2017

Will be a gun player. Just not showing it at the moment. Half forward is not a good position to play, but what can you do when Fasolo and Elliot are out injured and just isn't quite working whenever De Goey goes into the centre. I've been advocating for a while dropping him to the VFL for a run of 5-6 games to get his confidence back. Now that Aish is working his way back into a midfield role, there is an opportunity to release De Goey to the VFL when Adams and Fasolo return to the side shortly.

Not asking much from a 20 yr old kid who's a year and a half into his career?
