Yeah, Swoop is sounding hysterically precious about Stephenson.

(Swoop: "Don't worry about coronavirus, but worry Jaidyn will be hurt by not being picked.")

Never said Jaidyn would be hurt about not being selected for round 1 just highlighting players only have to suffer a subtle change of mindset because of an experience and it can negatively impact their playing ability.

This experience doesn't even need to be a poor one for this to occur.

Until Jaidyn performs consistently to the level he has displayed previously I'm not taking anything for granted given the public spotlight he was subjected to last year.

Yeah, I was being flippant.

But players fall away all the time not because of mindset. Most of the time they just get worked out.

I wonder whether a side containing all of Adams, Elliott, Thomas, Brown and Daicos is one small to many.

Elliott, Thomas and Daicos in particular will all need to lift their tackle numbers and pressure rating this season if it is to work.

Agree. Would have liked to see Wills in the midfield, rather than this armada of smalls. Also would like to know why Stepho was not selected.

Bruised hand, poor form, limited preseason due to glandular fever...

Named as emergency so might still play

No crowd, no fans, no cheers, no boos, no hotdogs, pies, doughnuts, a twilight zone of nothing. No atmosphere. but, such is corona life, unfortunately. But, we should get a win, id say, be close, but Magpies by eleven points, in my humble opinion.

Maybe the midfield of smalls around Grundy portends a new modus operandi for linking up Grundy's ruck domination and the movement of our mids. Perhaps we are developing a new strategy, as Carey suggested, of Grundy tapping into space and fast mids moving into that space onto the ball. I can hardly wait to see what unfolds. As always, Go Pies!!

The coronavirus is an unfolding catastrophe for humanity. Society is entering uncharted territory. My love for the Pies is a constant which will always be a source of comfort in a world entering unforseeable upheaval. Go Pies!!

I have no emotional investment in the season now, assuming there are no disruptions which is highly unlikely.

Just going to view this season as a practice run, until things hopefully return to normality next year.
