F-McG made 84. Australia was all out for 179. Rowe made 40 in a very good 5th wicket partnership with F-McG but the team fell over like a pack of cards when those two were dismissed.

Ultimately, Australia lost by 3 wickets.

For mine, F-MCG demonstrated both his class and how far he has to go to mature into a fully-fledged senior cricketer. He can play all the shots and take on any style of bowling but he needs to pace himself better - he really shouldn’t have done the Maxwell blasting thing when he got to his seventies. While he was pushing the middle overs around, it looked like he would carry Australia to somewhere between 230 and 260 but the moment he went out, the team looked inept. It’s one thing to have confidence in your teammates and another thing to recognise their limitations.

He was great to watch and looks to have the potential to go a very long way.

Game 2 for Australia - Nigeria bowled out for 61 and the openers ran down the target in just 7.4 of their 50 overs. JFMcG made 23* from 20. For Nigeria, Olaleye was the only one to make double figures (21 from 53). Sangha was the pick of the Australian bowlers with 5/14 and Simpson took 3/11.

Those of you who have Kayo and are really struggling to find something to do can watch India take on the might of Japan later today.

England made 7/252 from their 50 overs. Mousley finished 51*.

Australia's best ever run chase is about 230. From what I've seen, Australia lacks the batting depth to run this total down. The loser goes home.

The Aussies need 10 from the last over to win.

Connor Sully is 31* (17) with 3 sixes.
