So, before Zampa got him out for the 5th in a year, Kohli was averaging 34.5 against leg spin in limited over cricket (ODI, T20I and the IPL).

Phew. So close for Smith. Lb appeal. Not out. DRS.

Ball hitting the leg stump but by not enough.

All out 304. Bradsmith 98 from 102 and Marnus 46 were our best. Not enough help.

Bradsmith made the most runs in the match (of course).

S. Bailey (AAP) sounds too quick to praise (after just one innings?!):

"Meanwhile Labuschagne's 48 doesn't read as a big total in the scorebook, but it will be the way he went about things that will please selectors.

He was busy at the crease, facing only 16 dots in his 47-ball knock as he got right to work when he arrived with Australia needing more than seven an over."

Is 1/3 balls faced dots really so praise-worthy? Sadly, usually we're not given the full breakdown for batsmen, so I don't know.

Meanwhile, Chappell says:

"If the middle order is a concern for India, the best way to overcome the problem - other than finding a player to plug the hole - is to have Kohli making big scores at three.

However, it's hard to see where the problem lies. There is no doubt that KL Rahul has the talent to bat successfully at No. 4, and since that is the spot available to him while Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan have a mortgage on the opening partnership, the best policy is to persevere with Rahul batting behind Kohli.
...

In pondering that Test series there are a few pointers that can be gleaned from this short ODI contest.

Firstly, the batting order in a Test series is a different proposition. India have a perfectly good Test No. 3 in Cheteshwar Pujara, so in the longer format, four is the correct spot for Kohli."
