I suppose Jones' inability to work our whether Stoinis is a batting or bowling all-rounder says a little about the value of his commentary.

I take it MS's non-bowling in the BBL is because of some injury. Deano's issue is that he opens in BBL, but he's never going to do that in the Oz setup, so can he be a "banger"? I'm not convinced he can.


JL has been saying all the candidate all-rounders are primarily batsmen. (The lack of a fifth bowler was a huge problem in the ODI WC, but then again there were many problems with Oz's flawed campaign. e.g. Finch is ten times the ODI batsmen in Asia that he is in England.)

I think we can just ignore English conditions until the next World Cup there, when Finch and Warner will be about 50, I guess.
