I have one player in mind who took his game to a higher level and must be
an A grader—-his name is Mr Maynard and will continue to give great value

He’s my picks. Any other candidates ??

Tyler Brown - looks bigger on the track and he can break into the senior side.
Another one is Darcy Moore. Showed us what he was capable of last season and was possibly our best finals player.

Fingers crossed he stays injury free.

Ill go with WHE to become an A grader. He has the tools and needs a little luck with injuries then he can get some momentum going.

Hardly. The kid showed some qualities as he did wheh he first arrived at "our" club. He is still learning the caper. Stop placing ridiculous expectation on such young players yet to prove themselves. He was barely knocking on the door "thru" 2019.

I know it's the off season & indeed wIsh him well for the future by all means but lets keep a perspective on this

He showed more potential than many in the magoo,s of simalar duration in that comp

Yes agreed that loading players with expectations is an odious practice so we will see what is revealed in the fullness of time

Quaynor to be our biggest improver from a low base.
Skill, good decision making and poise out of the backline.
It’s not like we are overburdened with it right now.
Reckon he will play every game while he’s fit.

New lower and lighter guernsey number should make him faster next year too 😉

Hardly

He was named as emergency several times, but in July/August when we had a lot of injuries. I think he was the travelling emergency for one interstate game too. Maybe peeking through the mail slot would be a better analogy?

The one to watch for is Mark Keane. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't break into the senior team by the half way mark. And Callum Brown will continue to improve now his body has stopped growing.

I watched a couple of magus games and I agree Keane looks a likely type in defence has that "I will kill you look" and seems to have skills that are improving all the time.

He looked solid tough with a bit of mongrel in the last game against the boxhilldawks.

We have a few "last chance guys" who are mature like Reid, Dunn, Broomie, Varcoe, Greenwood

and we have a few "who is going to step up like IQ, Wills, Daicos, the Bear, Murphy, Keane (who I have probably now put a curse on) and of course Kelly

plus the players whom I have no idea Lynch, T Brown, Tohill, Madgen Attu

If not working on 16th I will be for open training.

It is going to be an interesting year

Indeed. He was not knocking on the door but has done relatively well. He needs to stay on the park to get some more games under his belt. He has natural poise but the last thing any of our players need is OTT expectations. How does that saying go:

"Let's take it one pre-season at a time" and hope he doesn't pash his brother or Kenny Rogers

Yes they don’t need pressure of our expectations—that’s granted

But we aren’t robots ,we are humans with years of emotions reached by highs and lows and as humans we want to be surrounded by good times like the 1990 and 2010 euphoria

History of a Magpie fan ,well let’s look at 2018 when our old pains were rewarded with a young man called Jayden Stephenson and history has a strange way of repeats so as a feverant Magpie i want good times from the club I’ve loved since the 1953 premiership and at 79 time is shorter than some

So unashamedly I’d love to be thrilled by something special

Fingers crossed we get a decent season out of big Coxy. If that happens, we win the flag. No ifs, no buts, no maybes. Cool
