India 6/493 at stumps on the second day. Agarwal 243. Bangladesh should not be playing tests against first-tier countries. This is an embarrassing debacle and I’m not sure how it helps them develop their cricket. It is quite unwatchable. |

India declared at their overnight score. Bangladesh is 4/60 at lunch, still needing another 283 to make India bat again. |

Technical issues floor Bangladesh once again
https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/28092461/technical-issues-floor-bangladesh-once-again
"Big gaps between bat and pad, bats coming down at odd angles against seaming deliveries, indecision outside the off stump, and the general lack of long-format temperament. Saturday was the same old story for the Bangladesh batting line-up in an overseas Test match, and its flaws was further exposed by arguably the best bowling attack in the world.
...
Apart from the lead-up to the 2015 World Cup - when their then coach Chandika Hathurusingha installed a granite slab at the Shere Bangla National Stadium to simulate the bounce of Australian pitches - there haven't been too many recent instances of Bangladesh coming up with specific training methods to combat specific challenges. That kind of specific preparation is essential for batsmen to develop the habits that will serve them well when their techniques are examined relentlessly for long periods.
Bangladesh's recent struggles against New Zealand, West Indies and India have suggested that this isn't happening."
[The bold bit could be talking about any Test team in the world. ] |

^ Maybe not about India, who played on the same pitch and made about 500 without two of their best players getting a start. If they hadn't declared, they might have made 1,000. |
