Dont pull the trigger Pies.
We'll free up space next year. (Varcoe, Reid, Mayne, etc). |
Underated point whether he goes or stays.
De Goey, Moore and Grundy are all contracted to the end of 2020. We need space in our 2021 cap and beyond.
We've already lost Wells and Goldsack, we have Broomhead, Crocker Varcoe Dunn and a couple of others currently out of contract and have some time yet to finalise our list.
I think the media are way overplaying our supposed salary cap issues. |
(Wells and Goldsack, we have Broomhead, Crocker Varcoe), they would just cover one player $1-$1.5 million between all of them.
We got no money, players took cuts to get Beams in.
But Aish is GAWN |

Well, they're either in the line or they're not. This must be visible to the cameras.
Update: Freo says
"The door is shut to end #AFLTrades but Freo reps are still in the room for an 'overtime' deal! Stay tuned..." |
And Collingwood says
"50 games over four seasons, thanks for your service in the black and white, Aishy!
All the best with @justinlongmuir ๐๐ผ๐

Another great trade period, why does every club pick up players for peanuts and all we do is pay overs or get rid of players for nothing? |

I wish him well and thank him for his contribution over the last four seasons.
It's evident that our salary cap issues made him the sacrificial lamb. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Last trade to happen. Took the AFL app a while to catch up. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |
