cricinfo tells us:
"Only one batsman - Jerome Taylor (12.96) has a lower average than Yasir's lower average while scoring a Test century. Yasir's average after the century stands at 14.06." |

Excellent p'ship from Masood and Shafiq came to an end with a completely unnecessary charge of Lyon.
Out for 68. Caught by Starc, at a deepish mid off. 4/129.

Run out to end the series. Cummins at mid on hit the non-striker's stumps.

Ponting: "... in conditions that have not been easy for fast bowlers... or spin bowlers, to be fair."
Not to mention the poor fielding...
Media highlighted three slips chances gone begging this series because Smith refused to stand closer, and three chances put down by Marnus this past innings or past day (I'm not sure which). M. Waugh was said to have questioned Smith's "brains"! |

Australia puts an exclamation mark against its dominating display with the bat - I understand that to be the only time in history that an Australian Test team has won a Test losing only 3 wickets.
The contrast in class between the two teams is thus clearly underlined - 20 Pakistan wickets for 541, as compared with 3 Australian wickets for 589. |

' "I felt that David Warner should have been given an opportunity to go for it," Lara said. "I happened to be in Adelaide and I thought it was kind of destiny being there. We do understand, obviously any team, who have forced themselves to a very good position would want to get (give) the opposition a chance (to bat) the second, evening.
"I believe records are meant to be broken, even David Warner may have a next chance. He is an attacking player, who can put your team in a winning position." ' |
