I think Burns has pulled out. I will go with Adam Kingsley ( Tigers ) or Mathew Nicks. Watch this space 😉 |

Not sure why he left after one season, was he sacked? Did the Brad Gotch connection get him to Collingwood?

Interesting that he's coached in the WAFL, SANFL, TAC Cup, the AFL (as a caretaker) and now VFL. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Fairfax's report:
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/crows-interview-robert-harvey-for-senior-coaching-role-20191010-p52zly.html
"Greater Western Sydney assistant Matthew Nicks and Hawthorn assistants Scott Burns and Adem Yze are other known candidates for the job, with Richmond assistant coach Adam Kingsley removing himself from contention.
...
Harvey, like the other candidates, was interviewed by the Crows' coach-search panel of influential board member and former skipper Mark Ricciuto, chief executive Andrew Fagan, ex-Geelong and Adelaide player James Podsiadly and former Australian basketball great Phil Smyth." |

Adelaide have signed their coach today. Scott Burns missed out again. Robert Harvey also looked over.
All head positions are now filled, but I'm sure plenty of assistant roles will be changed in the coming weeks around the league.
Last night I watched "The Choosen Few". Bit late I know, but it's an interesting view of things.
Hocking wanted the VFL job from what I know, so it isnt a "demotion" as some have put it. I feel like we are down a man in the coaches box, but maybe thats a good thing?
I wonder if Voss will ever be headcoach of a team again? And I wonder if Hird will get a job of some kind at a club someday? Ross Lyon is another name that could fill an assistant job somewhere. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Hocking replaces Rivers (VFL)
Boyd replaces Longmuir (Defence)
Selwood replaces Boyd (Development)
Skipworth replaces Lockyer (Academy)
What was Hockings job this year? Seems that spot isn't replaced. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

I doubt you'd get many arguments that we don't need to keep exploring ways to try and limit the amount of time our players spend on the sidelines due to injury.
It arguably cost us both the Premiership in 2018 and the opportunity to play off for another this season.
That is a serious consequence for a football club, not to be dismissed lightly and the club clearly believes this also as it's elected to redirect money from the coaching department to our medical team next year.
Like others I sense that we have seen a spike in soft tissue and stress related injuries since our move to Olympic Park and if we don't see a reduction in these over the next 2 seasons after taking this latest step then it will be hard to ignore the belief that our training surface isn't an aggravating factor. _________________ He's mad. Today's Age reports that we are indeed diverting the money previously spent on Longmuir's wages, to employing another physiotherapist, to beef up our medico/conditioning department. |
