I suspect our Premiership clock will only have another 2 yrs to run. After that, Pendles and Sidey will most likely no longer be stars, or perhaps players at all. Added to that, Howe and Roughead will probably be in decline as well.

At the moment, apart from a couple of players, we don't have much prospective A grade talent coming through the ressies, unlike Richmond, who also won the VFL Flag.

Figure out how to win centre clearances.

We don’t need a key forward. Giants having Cameron made no difference.

We need to put speed into the middle.

LOL! Richmond would be first in line because they would understand having someone like Grundy would make them unstoppable.

You don’t throw out the baby with the bath water and you don’t trade out your best asset.

Umm, they’ve just won their second premiership in three years so they clearly don’t need him, nor do they want a player holding his club to ransom over money. You don’t build a premiership list paying top dollar for players, if Grundy thinks he is worth a seven year deal, then he doesn’t fit in a premiership team.

How do you think Richmond built a list like theirs? Plus who’s more valuable? Lynch? Riewoldt? Martin? Or Grundy?

Richmond has not one but 2 players on 7 year multimillion dollar contracts.

And is your question whether 3 players are more valuable than one?

My question is would you think Grundy is more valuable than any of those three players?

He’d have to take a significant paycut on what he’s asking if he wanted to go to Richmond hence the not being interested at all.

Despite some of the hysterical and panic stricken posts I've been reading on various Nicks threads, it's worth remembering we lost a Grand final last year by less than a goal and a Prelim final by less than a goal this year. So, on any measure, we are very close to Premiership success. Clearly we have the talent, the coach and the game plan to be successful in finals.

Last time we lost a GF then a prelim we nosedived for the next 6 seasons...

If Lynch can step up a grade then we can win but doubt he is good enough according to all the VFL reports

Cameeron is a dream we do not have the draft picks
Pattons knees are as bad as Shaz

The medical/conditioning needs looking at.

Keep Grundy JDG and Moore

Can Moore play forward? with confidence?

I heard a strong rumour today, that we are in talks with Joe Daniher. Just saying. Surprised

Hearing Joe Daniher also. Strong rumour about this. Best mates with Grundy. He would be the missing link if fit. Only issue is the if fit part for us, and salary cap. Surely he would demand a large salary.

Same as every other year. Key forward, inside mid to support Adams (preferably one that gets 20+ disposals weekly) quick defender (could be IQ and Noble).

More important our current mids need to go to school in reading the taps of the most influential ruckman in the modern game...........Maybe that’s a signal to send Mrs Harvey and Rocca elsewhere.....

Joe Daniher wants out of the Melbourne fishbowl. Why would he want to come to us?

Joes’s manager leaked that to increase his value and put some pressure on Essendon to up the price.

We will be linked with everyone again this trade period.

We have that other inside midfielder, Sier. But Bucks picked Nobel in the final instead ..

We have failed our first test Nd signed Reid for 2020.

We'll stagnate as other teams pass us by.

Agree. The re-signing of Ben Reid is a disgrace. We are not ruthless enough. Terrible list management decision.

Another backward step following last week's 'no show'.
Must've been Buckley's call. Has gone down big time in my mind last 8 days.m
IMO next year should be flag or bust for Bucks; and it's looking shithouse already!!!!

And a 20 years President who worships the ground Bucks walks on.
Bad signs.

Premierships aren’t easy to win getting into a position to have a chance is now where the club is situated. To win our next premiership I personally believe we need to get a gun KPF and give up something of note to get it done.
Pendlebury needs to move towards less time in the middle, Sidebottom needs to get a wing/HF role, Degoey needs more time in the middle, Beams needs to be fit in the middle and need Scharenberg, Howe and Langdon all playing with Roughead and Moore. I know I left out Aish and Crisp not saying they should be out. We have some good kids coming through in defence with Murphy, Noble, Quaynor and Kelly but let them force their way in. Whether Maynard gets some middle time something needs to change because our Midfielders are not winning enough clearances and you don’t see enough of them working to free each other up.
Grundy winning a tonne of hit outs but not leading to a midfield dominance highlights either poor cohesion or our big players Adams, Beams, Sier and Wills missing too many games. Lack some speed in the middle that can easily be fixed but not essential if winning more at initial contests.
We need marking players with some height we don’t have a safe kick down the line unless targeting Cox our wings are small in Sidey and Phillips and rely on Hoskin Elliott as our second highest marking player.
GET a gun Key Forward and a few shuffles in the middle and we will be right in the race for a flag for years to come.

Which bookies offer markets on this stuff?

Bet on Sydney. (I guess look at the odds first. Maybe they're too short.)

ok - so how is it any different to the Goldsack re-signing this time last year? I suspect he's been re-signed for insurance next year, as Goldsack was...
