Afternoon big game fans sorry for posting only 4 rounds last night I think the scotch bottle got the better of me
So today we will have 6 rounds to get back on track

Round 5 v Lions
5 votes Treloar
4 votes Checkers
3 votes Grundy
2 votes Stephenson
1 vote Adams

Round 6 v Essendon
5 votes Pendles
4 votes Grundy
3 votes Howe
2 votes Crisp & Moore
1 vote Treloar

Round 7 v Port Adelaide
5 votes Pendles
4 votes Moore
3 votes Stephenson
2 votes Crisp
1 vote Grundy

Round 8 v Carlton
5 votes Grundy
4 votes Sidey
3 votes Phillips
2 votes Brown
1 vote JDG

Round 9 v St Kilda
5 Votes Sidey & Grundy
4 votes Treloar
3 votes Checkers
2 votes Stephenson
1 vote Beams

Round 10 v Sydney
5 votes Grundy
4 votes Pendles
3 votes Greenwood
2 votes Brown
1 vote Crisp

Leader board after 10 Rounds

27 Grundy
24 Pendles
14 Moore Treloar
9 Sidey
8 Crisp JDG
7 Checkers Stephenson Adams
5 Mayne Elliott Phillips
4 Varcoe Brown
3 Howe Greenwood
2 Beams Maynard
0 Langdon

Langdon's best patch of the season if coming up from the bye onwards we expect him to poll very heavily in the "My knee is gone get me to the surgeon stakes"

Looks like a 2 horse race at the moment but who know who can come from the clouds ??
Can Treloar make a run ? Can Crisp start polling higher ? Can Sidey get on a run ?

Stay tuned fans more will be revealed tomorrow

And the call is back on

Round 11 v Fremantle
5 votes Pendles
4 votes Roughead
3 votes Grundy
2 votes Maynard
1 vote Howe

Round 12 v Melbourne
5 votes Treloar
4 votes Sidey
3 votes Stephenson
2 votes WHE
1 vote Sier

Round 13 v Dogs
5 votes Grundy
4 votes Sidey
3 votes Crisp
2 votes Treloar
1 vote Roughead

Round 14 v North
5 votes Roughead
4 votes Maynard
3 votes Treloar
2 votes Crisp
1 vote Greenwood

Round 15 v Hawks
5 votes Crisp
4 votes JDG
3 votes Scharenberg
2 votes Roughead & Quaynor
1 vote Aish

Leader Board after 15 rounds
35 Grundy
29 Pendles
24 Treloar
18 Crisp
17 Sidey
14 Moore
12 JDG
10 Stephenson Roughead
8 Maynard
7 Adams Checker
4 Howe Greenwood Varcoe Brown
3 Scharenberg
2 Beams Quaynor WHE
1 Aish Sier

Roughead was a big mover in that block polling votes in 4 of the 5 games
Crisp is another who has been polling consistently through out and is creeping up the leader board
It still appears Grundy will be the one to beat but the placings may change in the next block

If I may interject, Qldmagpie – and thanks for all of your fine work so far – shouldn't the counts in rounds 9 and 15 with tied votes be 5,5,3,2,1 and 5,4,3,2,2 respectively? Seems a bit odd to give a player 4 votes for finishing third, for instance! (meaning Aish shouldn't poll in round 15 and Treloar, Mihochek, Stephenson and Beams should all have one vote less each for round 9?)

Good point David I will check with the powers that be and see
I doubt it will affect the overall outcome to be honest but it’s a good point of view
I just gave everyone on tied votes the same amount didn’t think of taking away one tier of votes

I only ask as that's what I used to do when I did the count a few years back – it just seemed to make sense!

Yes. 100% this. The votes are to recognise the Top 5 players each week.

Actually if we’re being fair dinkum tied spots should share the points for both spots. There should only ever be 15 points awarded for a single round.

So if 2 players tie at the top they should split the points evenly:

T1: 4.5
T1: 4.5
3rd: 3
4th: 2
5th: 1

If 2 players tie for 4th BOG it should be:

1st: 5
2nd: 4
3rd: 3
T4: 1.5
T4: 1.5

In this instance there is no 5th position. As you only want to award votes to 5 players. The only exception is if there is a tie for 5th BOG, in which you would award 0.5 votes to both players.

If 3 players tied at the top, you still only award votes to 5 players:

T1: 4
T1: 4
T1: 4
4th: 2
5th: 1

Thanks to qldmagpie67 - there was obviously a lot of hard work, dedication and very serious drinking involved in the count. It’s a lonely task, with limited media coverage (mercifully) but it must be done. Great stuff.
