'Awake the whole time': NFL player paralysed for 30 minutes after hit

"Denver Broncos cornerback De'Vante Bausby said on Tuesday he couldn't move for 30 minutes after a collision with a teammate during Sunday's game at the Los Angeles Chargers.
...

"They said I was paralysed for the first 30 minutes. Like I said, after 30 minutes I could wiggle my toes, and after two hours I could move everything else."
...

Head coach Vic Fangio said on Monday the injury was a cervical sprain, and that there was no timetable for a return..."

So, after 5 weeks, the Pats and the 49ers are the only undefeated teams. There are, though, 4 teams who haven't registered a win - the Jets and the Dolphins (each 0-4) and Washington and the Bengals (each 0-5).

In the AFC, the Pats (5-0), Chiefs and Bills (each 4-1) and the Texans, Ravens, Raider and Colts (all 3-2) are in positive territory.

In the NFC, the 49ers head the list (4-0), followed by the Saints, Packers and Seahawks (all 4-1), the Lions (2-1-1) and a logjam of the Eagles, Bears, Rams, Cowboys, Vikings and Panthers (all 3-2). Next week at the Rams will tell us a fair bit about the 49ers.

Pats now head the AFC 6:0, after putting the Giants away today. Brady threw for over 300 yards for the 91st time and also scored 2 rushing TDs himself.

The only time you should be woken by a phone call at 5am is when you get a call from Stockholm to tell you you've won the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Chiefs’ defence is abysmal.

Things look up a little for Washington, with a 17:16 victory ove4 the Dolphins (with Miami having a failed crack at a 2-point conversion with 6 seconds on the clock). Hey, a win’s a win.

And it’s a Lambeau Leap for a game-winning FG by Mason Crosby as time expires. Pack over the Lions 23:22.

Just finished watching yesterday’s Chiefs @ Broncos game. The Chiefs won comfortably and now head the AFC West with a 5:2 record.

The two big takeaways for me are that the Broncos’ offensive line is, well, offensive - they simply couldn’t provide Flacco with any protection at all - and the Chiefs’ offensive play callers need to take a good hard look at themselves - what did they think they were doing asking the reigning MVP to go for a QB sneak on a 4th and 1? Kick the FG and move on! They probably thought it would be cute but perhaps they regret it now Mahomes is out for a month, having dislocated his right patella at the bottom of the pile. He made the first down but they finished up having to kick the field goal anyway. Morons.

Packers go 6:1 with a big win over the Raiders. Rodgers notched up his 350th career passing TD, along the way to passing for 5 TDs and running in a 6th.
