Shhhhhh.....

Keep it on the down low people

These kind of events unite teams

We don't need to give them any extra motivation

F ‘em. Only so much ‘uniting’ one can do. Buckley said something along the lines of “talent does win premierships, team does.” Yeah, nah, I have to completely disagree. Otherwise we would have won 2002, possibly 2011, and definitely 2018. Talent ALWAYS wins out.

A champion team beats a team of champions.... all I saying is it's far from over

If I'm a GWS coach I would be loving everyone writing us off...

this will bring them together like nothing else.

We need to focus and execute even harder now

I'm conflicted about this. Of course I'm pleased that GWS do not get to field their best 22 but I always want to take on (and beat) a team's best. That way, there's no "asterisk" against a win. It promotes confidence in the team knowing that they've beaten an opposition at their best. On top of that, if you can't get past an opposition in one week do you really deserve to be at there at the end?

On a more individual note, I don't care who you are or who you play for, missing a game due to illness or medical condition - other than through injury - is unfortunate and unfair.

These guys are at the top of their field and they are all looking to play on the biggest stage. To have that opportunity denied through events like this is cruel and unjust.
