According to instagram. Surprised me that it’s effective immediately. If he’s fit I’d have thought he keeps training and makes himself available.

We got a very quick glimpse of what Wells coulda been for us v the Swans this year. Coulda been the difference last year. History will say he was a bust as a Collingwood player. Hard to argue with that. Enjoy retirement.

All the best Wellsy. Would loved to have seen more of you in the black and white but the damn injury curse kicked in. Enjoy retirement.

Must have been worried about Bucks going mad and making him earn some of his money this year. The end of the worst decision this club has made since 2009...

Good luck Daniel Wells. When you played, you lit up the stadium with your perfect skills and made our transition forward all the more lethal. It was great watching you kick the ball so skillfully in black and white.

Likely just told he wasn't going to be selected this week or, if we make it, next week, so he pulled the pin.

We rolled the dice, and it was a gamble Bucks wasn't too happy about at the time!

Adios Daniel, you topped up your super and will have a pretty comfy life if you invested well. All the best.

Was hoping that today would signal the end of an era with Wells

Instead it signalled the end of an error.

As Mr Miyagi said, 'twas a gamble that we lost.

Should stick around the club...maybe as our indigenous ambassador and attract some good young indigenous talent to the club.

I hope so. His injuries meant he would never get on the park again, but around the club he's well liked. Except for that time he came back from preseason a bit rounder then expected!

Champion player at North, and he played a few blinders for us. Just a shame he had constant injury breakdowns.

$1,650,000 for 15 games = $110,000/game. Great if you can get it!
