Assuming Geelong wins (and of course us) then it would be....

1st Geelong vs 4th Collingwood if Richmond win, West Coast lose.

1st Brisbane vs 4th Collingwood if Richmond lose, West Coast win.

2nd Geelong vs 3rd Collingwood if both Richmond and West Coast lose.

Brisbane have been a lot better than most people think. I suspect they're flying under the radar in a big way at the moment. Haven't lost a game since before the bye, and beaten a number of finals contenders along the way. You'd probably narrowly tip Richmond because of the home-ground advantage, but I could still see it going either way.

Well I hope you're right Wink

Personally though I still don't see Brisbance as legitimate Premiership material and it wouldn't surprise to see a straight sets exit come finals for them.

Good chance we play the Dons two games in a row

If we win, and Bulldogs win this week and next week (beat the Crows), we'll likely end up 5th and Essendon slip to 8th

that's a great outcome as I wouldn't want to run in to the Dogs in Week 1.

We want a Bulldog loss today against GWS, which would put Hawks in the 8, and needing to beat the Eagles in Perth next week to make the finals. We want this so the Hawks are a live chance, and throw the kitchen sink at Eagles.

You never know, Clarko could yet pull off a miracle.

The good thing is that Hawthorn play on the Saturday whilst the Dogs, Crows and Power are all on the Sunday.

They'll still be a live chance for 8th at that moment.

Forget that thought. The Dogs are 5 goals up at 3/4 timie, and won't lose.

They also won't lose against the Crows next week, meaning in all likelihood we'll be playing an Elimination Final against a red hot Dogs on the G.

Hawks won't beat wiggles in Perth, you can put your house on that. $1.23 is stealing money.

Given the way they have been playing, they would fancy themselves. Both games against this year have been tight games. This is the biggest challenge of all the possible teams going for 8th spot.

That would been interesting

It would have meant we mathematically couldn’t make top 4.

??? We’d only be 2 points behind Richmond instead of 4...

Pretty simple equation.

Beat Essendon and hope West Coast and/or Richmond lose next week.

Whatever we need to do is avoid the Bulldog's in an elimination final. They are hot, hot, hot at the moment. The Giants are merely cattle fodder at the moment.

Good work, Swoop!

If we can’t make top 4, here are our most likely elimination final opponents in order if we win next week:

1. Essendon (if Bulldogs win)
2. Port Adelaide (if Adelaide win and Port win by a bit more – and by at least 26 points – which I think is likely given their respective opponents)
3. Western Bulldogs (if Adelaide win but by less than 4 goals, plus Port also win by less than that)
4. Adelaide (if Adelaide win by at least 26 points and more than Port win by)
5. Hawthorn (if Hawthorn win + Bulldogs lose)

If we lose to Essendon, then here are our likeliest elimination final opponents in order:

1. Bulldogs
2. Port
3. Adelaide
4. Hawthorn
5. GWS (if GWS lose and Bulldogs smash Adelaide)
