The club has emailed members announcing we've reached 81,000 members, which is a new club record.

No. But remember, membership revenue is what really matters and you can be assured our members are providing us with more than any Victorian club. We have the largest proportion of members with home and away memberships and higher level memberships and we don't count the social club component as a separate membership like they do on the other side of the railway yards.

Having the most members is not what I'm interested in.

I want #16.

Yep. Richmond sell all these cheap 3-game memberships that mean little.

Does our club earn more membership revenue than WC (or even Adelaide), who have all those very expensive packages for attendance at the new ground?

Cool

Well yeah.

But since #14 and #15 took such a long time, I just want to get to #16 and then be the first to #17. Then #18. Then bridge a gap on #19. Then #20. Then #21. Then get an unreachable lead on #22. We would be on #25 if we didnt f-up so many times. Crying or Very sad

Yes, we know. That's why revenue matters. But WC's home ground has a small capacity, so the demand for season tickets is higher.

Ticket sales? Is that revenue from non members at home games? I once spoke to our finance manager and he said the downside of having so many home and away members is lower revenue from the home game gate. I wonder why Richmond never show pure membership revenue in their AFL accounts. Their figure here is meaningless.

Merchandise figures from that source are incomplete, but
e.g.
West Coast – $3,939,331
Geelong – $2,368,611
Essendon – $1,844,974
...

So we can guess that our merchandise revenue was about $4 million.

Richmond's revenue from membership per member was obviously small. They don't show stuff because the stuff they don't show makes them look bad.

Just checked their annual report. Yep no revenue detail for membership.
