There's no declaration yet.

The lead is past 250.

Stokes hits Siddle for 4. He then hits him for 6 over square leg.

Siddle has conceded 14 runs from 4 deliveries.

Two balls left??

Warne says if they declare it'll be 48 overs left. He repeats that England will fancy their chances without Smith.

Yes, the declaration.

England 5/258d. England lead by 266.

Stokes high-fives with Bairstow as they bound off the ground.

Is now a good time for me to mention the Bristol incident? I don't know what I think about this all. They boo Smith off the ground after he's concussed, but cheer a man who could easily have killed someone in Bristol. Hmm...

Healy (on Bancroft): "Just get that front foot out there."

Taylor wonders about the odds of three ties in a row. WC final, WC Super Over, Test match.

Taylor thinks it's a good declaration, but as a media guy, he'll be biased towards entertainment.

Taylor talks about Smith's absence again and Warner's bad form, which he says have played into Root's declaration decision.

Labu does not have to bat at 4. Taylor thinks he may come in at 5.

Labu did not make history as the first concussion sub to bowl, but he could make history as the first concussion sub to bat. Of course, he fielded, but even a normal sub can field.

Broad strays down leg and Bancroft is off the mark immediately, which brings Warner on strike.

Holding: "Broad won't mind that."

Warner drives for 4 first ball!

Holding: "I'll tell you what was wrong with it: the line."
Holding wants it straight.

And Broad beats Warner! It missed outside edge and stumps.

Broad always makes all these clown faces. A bit tiresome to me, but maybe English fans love it.

And Warner inside edges tentatively last ball, but it's all good.

Oz 0/5 (2). 46 overs to go...

It's Archer now.

Bancroft to face. He shoulders arms first ball.

Gower: "Gentle, easy loosener. 83.3."

Bancroft drives and inside edges on to his pads second ball.

No ball next ball.

He plays inside the next -- deliberate leave.
...

Oz 0/6 (2).

Gower: "Up with the rate," as Warner collects 4lb to fine leg.

Sangakkara: "Really, now, all the pressure's back on Australia."

.......

Warner flashes and misses the short ball outside off.

Gower: "A little bit of extra bounce."

I don't know about that...

They take a quick single. Well run.

And another. It's good to see them doing that.

Oz 0/12 (3).

Archer gets Warner, edging to Burns at slip.

Oz 1/13.

Archer bowls a bouncer to Khawaja. It pleases the crowd, but it's too short.

Gower: "Warner yet to reach double figures in this series."

Sangakkara, on Smith's absence: "Someone else needs to step up. Cameron Bancroft has looked all over the place with his batting technique."

A swing and miss from Bancroft to a very wide ball from Broad.

Gower: "If you're an opener, leave those alone."

................

Broad strays down leg and is easily clipped for 4 by Bancroft.

Oz 1/17 (5).

Archer gets Khawaja, edging behind. He doesn't review.

Oz 2/19.

Not very good batting. Sure the ball is new, but there is nothing in this pitch.

Labuschagne does come out at 4.

Wow... Shocked

A short ball. Called wide.

Labuschagne is hit on the helmet. He's straight up. You can hear spectators hooting with delight.

Langer is looking on pensively.

It looks like the grill. He looks okay. The physio is feeling his jaw. They should take as much time as possible to let him settle and make sure there aren't any extra overs.

They're working on the new helmet.

There is applause as Labuschagne gets back to the crease.

Gower: "I promise you thirty years ago it would have been a very different technique."

Labu is beaten.

Bancroft clips in the air just fine of Stokes to the boundary. Nasser says Broad had literally just moved Stokes squarer!

Replays show he's right!

----------------------------

Next over, Labu drives Archer for 4. It was just a push.

Beaten next ball.

Two balls later, same result.

Nasser wants another slip. Root is trying to rev up the crowd. Nasser says the crowd can't set the field.

Labu runs the last ball for 4.

Oz 2/36 (8 ). 40 overs to survive now...

Warner looks on. 2, 6, 3, 5. Not a great set of numbers.

Bancroft inside edges to thighpad and away for a single.

First change is Woakes, with 39 overs remaining.

Nasser wants it a bit fuller than he bowled in the first innings.

There are now oohs and aahs for any ball that goes through to the keeper, even when it's a clear leave. Earlier a commentator, maybe Nasser, said that Bairstow thinks everything is out. Broad has the same reputation.

Labu has been leaving on length.

Nasser: "That's why Woakes needs to be a bit fuller."

And Woakes strays, pitching it up but too straight, and Labu clips it for 4.

Nasser: "Let the bowler come to you. Very good batting."

We are close to tea, maybe with two overs to go. Archer continues.

Nasser on Bancroft: "Really battling his technique."

The ball nips back and hits him in the midriff.

They show clips of Bancroft's technique.

Nasser: "Getting turned around... In the tour match... he tried to do a smith and get that left leg out of the way completely."

Leach to bowl the final over before tea... though Nasser has hopes for another over if they get through this quickly.

Slip, gully, short leg.

Nasser: "... so both edges of the bat covered."

Labu's okay against spin, right?

Bat fanatics will have noted that Labu uses a Kookaburra.

Leach is now going over the wicket. And it spins across Labu and beats him.
But as Nasser & Botham say, it takes out the LBW, if you just kick it.

Labu sweeps for a single to keep the strike.

Nasser: "A dangerous shot out of the rough."

Nasser gets his wish for one more over before tea.

Archer bowls and it hits Labu's handle, as he takes a hand off the bat.

Next ball, soft hands and runs.

Nasser & Botham are talking about Archer's fitness test playing a 2nds match. Deano on social media condemned this. Deano thinks some kid could have been killed.

Now a crowd catch. Just Bancroft's thigh pad.

Botham: "One person who's not interested is Ben Stokes, who had the best view."

Solid defence from Bancroft to get safely to tea.

Oz 2/46. Tea. Down to 34 overs now.

Not perfect batting, but sme grit shown by Bancroft & Labu.

Pictures show someone comforting Warner in the dressing room. He looks forlorn. Shocked
