Fair chance we won't lose another game before the finals. If we can't beat Melbourne next week I'd be surprised. Just pressure them and they go to water. Wouldn't it be funny if the two coaches we play in consecutive weeks get sacked after losing to us (Dew and Goodwin).

But, the fact the AFL can rig a "draw" in the final round is a sheer disgrace. Talk about the integrity of the game! What a joke that they can play with the fixture like that and no one pulls them up for it and says it's match fixing (which it is!!! Razz ).

Idea The only fair solution each year is to reduce the home and away season to 17 games where everyone plays each other once (on a two year rotation for home and away games like the NFL). Then you could have an expanded finals series, even to the extent that you have a best of three grand final series. I suspect that would help our chance at winning a flag and would allow interstate teams to play a home grand final as well. Idea

Well a 17 game season would obviously reduce the AwFuLs revenue [and the players income] by perhaps 20% per season, so that simply ain't gonna happen in our lifetime.
As I've said before, the fixture should only done for 17 rounds, where all teams play each other once, rotating the home ground advantage every second year, and rounds 18-23 are drawn at the conclusion of round 17, in relation to where teams are on the ladder, as to who they play twice in this period. Put round 18 aside for rivalry/derby games, so teams don't have to travel interstate, so the logistics for rounds 19-23 can be arranged. Simplez
