| Post subject: Geography quiz – no googling! |  |

I sometimes enjoy a good geography quiz – and fancy myself as pretty good at them – but this one, which features the world's twenty biggest islands in silhouette, stumped me. I reckon I can name about half of them confidently and have a decent guess at a couple more, but some of them I'm all at sea on (in a manner of speaking  ).
Which ones can you name? Post your answers below. No cheating!  You get half a point if you can't name the island but know the country it belongs to.

Yeah nah. Just by shape without context I have NFI.
1 is Australia,
I think 3 looks like New Guinea.

Funnily enough, Greenland is covered in Ice where Iceland is mostly green.

Nice work, Wokko! All correct (except 3 is technically New Guinea; Papua New Guinea is only the name of the country that occupies the eastern half)
The only other ones I could guess off the top of my head were 12 (Sulawesi) and 16 (Newfoundland).
If it helps, three of the others are in Canada and the other three are in South-East Asia.
