You are being way too negative m.

Assuming we get De Goey, Moore, Aish, Stephenson and possibly even Wells back, we will have more than enough fire power to win in September.

After all, the Eagles won the flag last year, missing 3 of their top 5 players. There's every chance we'll only be missing Cox and Beams from our best 22....with apologies to Langdon. Neither of these players are in our top 5.

Time will tell.

I think, like most footy observers, underestimate Cox's Structural influence to the side.

You have also made no allowance for more injuries. We are losing 1 or 2 per week. In the next 3 rounds what other 3-6 players will we lose?

I'm counting on injuries to Madgen, Lynch and Crocker over the next 3 weeks. Cool

Percentage may be the main reason we miss the top 4 at this rate (if GWS finish above us).

Still wont matter. if we are good enough to win the flag and the Giants arent, then finishing 5th is better than 4th. We'll play a crap team and they'll get flogged. We'll then play them week 2 and if we are better than them, we'll beat them (only you will not say that we only won because of poor percentage, right????). If we aren't, we wont and you will lament percentage, when we should just accept that we weren't good enough this year.

E you do know that the difference of finishing 5th as opposed to 4th would mean they would have to win 4 finals as opposed to 3 yea.

The biggest advantage the eagles had last year was having to play one less final than we did. We were spent in that last qtr of the granny.

So basically your slogan should really be “ladder position doesn’t matter”.

And still stuff about "if we are good enough". Winning premierships is not about being "good enough". It's just about winning. If you had to be "good enough", the AFL would have had to declare no winner in 2016-19.

We can be in the top 4 at the end of this round if;
1. Hawks beat GWS. (I give that a 30% chance of happening)

2. Collingwood beat Melbourne. (60%)

and 3. Carlton beat Richmond (10%)

Pretty much we're going for all the away teams this week. We have to win ours and hope that a few upsets go our way, as unlikely as that it.

One result going our way. Dont F it up and lose tomorrow Pies! Dont give Carlton much chance against Richmond, but here's hoping.

but that's because they beat us not once, but TWICE, proving they were better than us! And percentage had nothing to do with them playing three games instead of four. instead it was because they WON finals!

if we are good enough, i'm pretty sure percentage wont matter. Percentage only appears important to teams that arent good enough, which by definition (since they dont matter), means percentage doesnt matter.

GWS took a little hit tonight. think they are lamenting the percentage or the loss of the 4 points.
