It seems most likely that Josh Daicos will get the call up to take Jaidyn's position. Maybe he and Callum Brown can rotate through the forward line, simultating Stepho's role and at the same time adding unpredictablity. Apart from that, I see no changes from the QB line up.

It'd have to be either Daicos or Crocker judging from previous emergencies that come in... Could we pull a smokey and bring in IQ with a little bit of positional shuffle?

How's Broomy been going in the VFL? He might be good at Cox's feet sweeping up the crumbs...

We don’t have a mercurial and speedy replacement that is like for like IMO
for Stevo

But we have a season to just add some one else to the forward six & the non info coming out on Elliot (plus his unknown on going fitness) is a hurdle

For mine it would be anyone except Jamie, him being a bonus if he gets on top of his fitness

Crocker —Broomy or Daicos are small forward options and we got not a choice we have to find a player who can play the season rather than a chop and change approach

Anyone but Crocker!
Do we bring in Reid and try the 3 pronged tall attack - which I would not be in favour of as that changes our entire game style.

Maybe Goldsack plays Stevo's role and maintains the defensive pressure?

I think Daics's turn has arrived. Shame he's not pacy but he is gifted by foot and hand.

Both Goldie and Ben have experience undoubtedly but pace —no !!

Both great servants of the club but this is an opportunity to turn adversity into
positivity by looking at our future—we know Crocker and Broomy from b4 but
not as much Josh

Let’s use this as a window to 2020 and going forward

Now that Stevo is out (Dammit), it provides a good chance for others.
I'm assuming Daicos will come in. I hope he does and does well.
I won't be surprised if it's Crocker though. The Club has been hinting the last few weeks at his work rate and VFL form. I think it's 50/50 of those two who come in.

It also provides a huge opportunity for our existing forward line. Especially WHE and Thomas. I've noticed a lot (significantly last week) that WHE has the ability to find himself without an opponent in the goal square. His forward running, aerial skills and goal kicking are all very good. I'm expecting WHE to thrive playing deep forward and be utilised more as that target running back into space.

Thomas is in the team because of his forward pressure and creating goals from nothing. He is also a very good set shot.

I think these two players can really step up into that role that Stevo plays. They're not as fast, but I think with our forward entries and structure, they will get their opportunities.

Of course, we also have Elliot waiting to come back. We have options.

This whole situation sucks, but I think it will fire us up.
We'll be OK.

Go Pies!

Indeed and we can chuck him up ground as well as Daicos is a good field kick I think WHE to play deep forward until Jamie is back in , Sidey and Treloar can have more spells up forward as well.

I dont think Broom head and Crocker aren't at the standard unless they can kick a few bags downstairs.

The speed thing of our option,s to up their workload WHE and Thomas have a different type of speed —not foot but mind speed

WHE has the mindset to find a vacant hole ,and be an option as we transition

Thomas is the opportunist when we get ball spill so I know they are playing their roles all,s they gotta do is up it

But love to see Daics with his excellent ball use too

Yeah a real shame we dont have another good link wingman/forward type Stevo is a big loss. Hopefully the coaching staff work out something. A fit Elliot would really help us.

I'd actually play JDG and WHE as our dual full forwards and perhaps bring in Daics to play on the wing.

It's not all doom and gloom. Forward line will reconfigure, as Rudey said, JDG and WHE, whom both offer X-factor will form the new dynamic duo.
Daicos, Elliott and Broomhead to play the forward roving positions.
Reid, Mihocek and Cox the talls.

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm fired up. I'm sure the team will be too.

There's been a few on here saying they're over it and almost ready to give up on the year. I think this current situation will ignite something in the team.

Hmmmm..... I hope so
