Great victory at their dung heap of a ground. Unfortunately probably the last time we see Wells in black and white. Wills as a forward target target what were you thinking Bucks, whatever it was it didn't work. Wills and Madgen aren't up to AFL standard and need to be replaced asap. The phenomenon of Grundy continues to grow and he basically won us the game and that Rampe guy, thanks mate. Pendles, Crisp, Mayne, Greenwood all had good games. Treloar DE continued to be an issue despite his output numbers. Checkers needs to adjust his radar, we can't have him JDG kicking like that, but is normally reliable. Bring on Freo! _________________ "Hey Ma get off the dang roof!" |

Just finished re-watching the game. That was never in doubt.
Here's today's song - one for every Collingwood supporter who gets up and remembers that we have now won 7 in a row: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua8OsW9bMk0
Baby, I feel good, from the moment I rise....
And Grundy shouts to Pendlebury after the final siren:
You and me, no frees, but we do as we please
From first bounce, 'til the end of the game. |

Yep, typical. Ch 7 broadcasts of Collingwood games are horrendously biased against us. That goal you mention from Mayne was truly extra-ordinary, something out of this world as far as pure reflexes go, but the commentators eg Brian Taylor hardly raised their excitement level. I truly hope that the club sacks BT from compering the Copeland!!![/quote

And what's wrong with MattyD's statement that warrants such sarcasm?

What an incredible observation - how astute you are - I guess you don't count Langdon as one of our 9 missing that we need back in _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing |

It wasn't as scary as watching poor Willsy do the rucking for a couple of bounces at half-forward while Son of Odin was receiving treatment. That said, I think his ruck work to Beams may actually have been responsible for Mayne's last mark (I nearly said "Mayne's last goal" - but we all know who was responsible for that one, don't we Dean?). |

I dare say most posters here have "listened and watched" footy for 35 years or more. So it's hardly a qualification for being right about anything

The goal from Pendlebury was also truly special, but BT's call of it was just...plain. If it had've been Franklin or Eddie Betts that did it they'd be carrying on about it calling it one of the best goals ever. _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing |

Why don't you attempt to contribute something constructive. Or are you just going to bitch about other posters comments? _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing |

We simply cannot & must not miss the easy shots at goal.
It's killing us & it allows the opposition to gain momentum every single time.
It needs to be addressed immediately. _________________ WE WERE ROBBED, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, RIGHT IN FRONT OF MEEE!

It doesn't allow the opposition to gain much momentum, though, does it? |
