Some of his marks were amazing. I had to look twice to see that it was Greenwood! _________________ carn the mighty pies! |

[quote="stoliboy"]I was at the game last night. A few observations:
1. Most of the goals were scored down the one end (Clive Churchill Stand). 16 goals out of 22. There was no wind so no idea why this was the case.
2. We kept wanting to go up the same edge of the ground (past the Brewongle Stand). From kick ins, when rebounding. I'm not sure if this had to do with the quality of the surface but it would have been good to mix it up more.
3. I would love to know the stat for rebound inside 50m to the Swans in the 3rd quarter. Our defence would get it out but it would be turned over near the boundary towards halfway.
4. Levi Greenwood stood out on the night. Looking at the stats her took 11 marks. Next closest was Mayne on 7, then it drops away to Mihochek on 5. On a night when Sam Reid was taking marks and kicking goals Levi stood out for the Pies.
5. And a question... why was Buckley in the dark in the coaches box?

5. Answer: David Loats wasnt there to change the light bulbs! _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

I said exactly the same thing to my son last night. Biggest complainer in the comp. Retire while everyone remembers him for the player he used to be. _________________ carn the mighty pies! |

The goal from Pendlebury was also truly special, but BT's call of it was just...plain. If it had've been Franklin or Eddie Betts that did it they'd be carrying on about it calling it one of the best goals ever. |
Agree. You don't see that type of goal from Pendle's very often and I thought it was amazing. In the discussion for goal of the year I thought. Particularly where he kicked it from and the pressure. _________________ carn the mighty pies! |

A terrific win, especially given we were missing so many elite players, forcing us to play a couple of VFL standard players in Wills and Madgen, who were clearly out of their depth.
Grundy deserves to win the Brownlow, which of course he won't. He gets better week by week.
Pendles is back to his best, and Treloar is having a great year too. Sidey struggled with a hard tag, as he did in last year's Granny, but he had an important impact in the last quarter when we needed him.
Aish played one of his best games, and he is getting better and better in the air. Well done to the lad.
Greenwood was magnificent and played his best ever game for us imo.
Roughead is just about the recruit of the year - considering we got him for next to nothing! Without him, Buddy would have kicked a bag.
Chris Mayne is inspirational. I don't reckon we've had a player who gives as much of himself, since Nick Maxwell and Tony Shaw. He is a true leader.
Browny is growing in confidence and he is proving to be especially impactful in last quarters. He just has to learn how to bounce the ball!
The only bad sign from the game was another (possibly career ending) injury to Wells, who eschewed class in the first half. It's a tragedy we hadn't recruited him 5-6 yrs ago. What might have been.
The fact that we have been able to keep winning, with so many genuine stars out, is a great sign. |

100% spot on report
It was however the first Sydney game I can remember where we only received a couple of AFL sanctioned dodgy calls against us
The Howe deliberate was astounding but they called the Rampe 50 metres and the Reid hold in the last minutes _________________ Bucks you just reckon he can still cut it in the middle |

Buddy kicks a set shot goal 20 metres in front, commentators go apeshit bananas over it. Pendles kicks a Daicos for the first time in his life and BT yawns. Bloody embarrassing from 7, but they're like that with all of our games. |

Another ugly win. We seem to specialise in them these days. Shame we can't get a break on the injury front though. Hopefully Wells is ok and our other star players are on the mend for a swift return. It was a scrappy sloppy contest. The conditions weren't ideal and it was almost to be expected that they were going to take it to us. Again, we made it hard for ourselves with our poor conversion rate but still got the job done. I can't wait to see this team take it to another level. |

We weren't forced to play Madgen ahead of Goldsack. We chose to, for whatever reason. |

I’ve just watched the game again.
I don’t get a lot of things said in here. But one I’ll comment on now is the hate for Josh Thomas.
He does ALOT of work. He is valuable.
Apart from that, normally he’s the one that doesn’t miss a snap, but unusually he missed 3 last night that would normally sail through, and keep the scoreboard ticking over. But he still generated the opportunities.
My theory is that this happens because he is essentially an inside midfielder that is also blessed with forward craft and goal sense.
My guess is that in the coach’s view his position in the forward line is invaluable and at no risk of being replaced. |

Agree Nearly. JT plays can multiple roles within our midfield and forward line. He can bob up with multiple goals. He'd be captain at Carlton _________________ Get back on top. |

Agree with Nearly. JT is playing a great role in our F50. He creates a constant menace to opposition defences. He is creative, and attacks the ball fiercely, and applies plenty of forward pressure. He is usually very accurate as well, and his set shot kicking is of the highest calibre.
I love JT, and admire him for his ability to cement a position in our team after all the challenges he has faced. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!
