It has a lot to do with our history but not a lot to do with our present.
It’s good to know where you came from though. If you want to understand where we came from Read some of the excellent books about our history or read Frank Hardy’s ‘Power without Glory’ based (not so) loosely on John Wren; a notorious Collingwood supporter who was a self made man with plenty of dosh who never forgot his Collingwood roots and looked after our players and many of the strugglers from the area. |
Absolutely. Read Power Without Glory first time back in the 70’s and agree that Wren and co were core to our identity. However 2019, this and even the fact that we were one of the few Catholic clubs, are now far in the past. _________________ Cancel the Cancel Culture. |
