If he is suspended, no more than a week I think. |

Just watching the replay, now. I do like Dwayne Russell's commentary of that Sidey goal: "Ohhhhhh, he's parted the seas!!! SIDEBOTTOM".
Love it. |

Grundy stood up to mark more than I've noticed him do today, and ran his guts out from side to side to make himself a target, many times not receiving the ball. He's amazing and his endurance is unparalleled for a bigman. _________________ Get back on top. |

The stats say Grundy took just 4 marks. That can’t be right. Seemed like he took at least 6-8 _________________ Est. 2002 |

Incredible endurance and stamina. Did he get a rest in the ruck at all today? I can't recall. In the end, he just ran his (worthy) opponent off his legs. Lion- hearted is our Brodie. |

A powerful final quarter performance but boy we've walked a dangerous tightrope these last 2 weeks and St Kilda will be kicking themselves they didn't put us to the sword on the scoreboard in that 2nd quarter when they dominated us.
Like last week and across the first 3 quarters again today St Kilda made us look vulnerable on transition with their leg speed and it's an area that still worries me moving forward.
Great to get the 4pts with some of our very best missing but still much work to do. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Stevo's barrell just brillant, I knew there leg speed would be an issue for us and they caught us out a bit. That last Quarter was very enjoyable. Grundy everywhere, Sidey torched them, Big Checkers was tough as nails today. _________________ " Ohhh Banksy and out comes the Note Book".

I thought this was a fantastic win. I know they had a few out as well, but De Goey, Elliott, Moore, Adams & Cox is a big chunk of top end talent to have missing.
Like Carlton last week, they threw everything at us, and probably should have been ahead at half time.
But that last quarter was incredible. 12 scoring shots to 1, and some really impressive center clearance work (at last) - just shows how important that is.
Grundy was huge again, and Sidey back to 2018 form. Reid has provided a headache for the selectors with that performance. Can we play all 3 at the same time. I think the SCG might be a bit small for that experiment.
Looks like Langdon will be out for a few, and Trav may get a week off. Hopefully De Goey & Moore will be back. Be really interesting to see what happens if Cox is available, and what if Sier, Quaynor & Wells have good games tomorrow? Its a good position to be in.
We really should get to the bye with 3 more wins - 10-2 at the bye, I'll take that. _________________ I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within. |

We're a team of two gears currently. When in the lower gear, our standard of play is quite mediocre, or even marginally below. When in top gear, we unleash enormous power. At present, the majority of our game time is in the lower gear. In that final quarter, we absolutely smashed St Kilda, and clearly demonstrated a calibre of play that middle order teams cannot match. But while we were in lower gear during the 2nd quarter particularly, St Kilda should have been 3 or 4 goals up at least.
The pleasing aspects of this win:
1)we were very depleted and still won by 40 points (but St Kilda also had several of their top 22 out, so will not overly emphasize this)
Also achieved this win a rotation down for half the game.
2) we are capable of fantastic intensity and ball movement
3) our fitness levels are excellent, playing brilliant fourth quarters in the last two games
4) our will to win is fantastic
The less pleasing aspect:
1) Gross inconsistency in the intensity we bring to the game. Lack of intensity at critical times could cost us dearly, and we are fortunate it did not both against StKilda and Carlton.
Overall: an inspiring last quarter, but we need to bridge the gap between the difference in our best and worst levels of performance. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!
