I'm pretty confident we'll be there at the big dance at the end of the year.... if we win it or not... who can say.

Oh, the putrid maggots had a say last year, particularly late in the final term IIRC.

Thinking about the 2010 season always gives me hope.At the half way point of the season every journo and their dog was spruiking a Cats v Saints Gf and then we put on the afterburners from about that point on. It's good that the Cats and GWS are getting attention. We have not hit top form and were clear second. It's the mids we need to find something from. Hopefully Adams, Sier and Degoey can help stoke the afterburners. I like the way Bucks is using Degoey sporadically in the midfield, but come the pointy end id like to see a couple of Cripps like games from him.

2010, or maybe 2011, was the last time this club didn't have an injury crisis.

Id love to say yes , but at this stage of the yr ld have to say no, l believe our team on paper is better than last yrs, but we r not as direct as last yr n our ball handling has been ordinary , our effort cant be questioned, but imop we over use the ball too much, we need to be more direct

Of course we CAN win the premiership, but luck plays a big part.

Richmond won the premiership in 2017 with a full list of players. Look at them now. Every player's important in making up the team, but Grundy, Moore and De Goey are irreplaceable.

I agree that the trio Grundy/Moore/DeGoey can be described as irreplaceable
but a player who has gritted his teeth and took the game on when we appear to tetter is Steele Sidebottom

It’ll be a desperate tackle or a burst thru traffic for that much needed goal

They talk about Patrick Cripps and rightly so but Sidey when game in the balance displays similar efforts

areas of improvement required are :

first access to the ball at centre clearances and general stoppages
able to kick goals inside 50 from ground ball type of situations

and more important

keep a healthy list and minimise or no further injuries

Therein are our areas to improve—-be first with ball in hand at all stoppages

And kicking kickable goals —the comp in general is lousy at set shots so let’s improve ahead of our competition

I would imagine the coaching group shouldn’t need a supporter to tell them

We could beat some sides we may come up against in finals but the ones favoured for flag could use our weak spots

Round up if we get those things right will increase our chances

ditto be the first to touch the ball in all stoppages both ball ups and throw ins and start to kick doable goals
