At half time WHE had 1 touch, Wills 4, Treloar 12.

Treloar had 22 after half time, WHE like 10+ in the final term after they shifted to him to the wing around about the time or after Mayne was concussed. Wills did some really good things in the last 5 minutes, Sidebottom was everywhere. Could undersized Brown play the Blair role of 2010? Quite possibly.

Good Win
Not a great win.
Damn they have a crack against us, but we got there in the end.
Play like we did against ‘better’ opponents and we’d lose.
But we got the points.

Wow, that was close. I thought we were done with that last Carlton goal. To win by 19 points kicking 7.1 to their 3.1 was amazing.

Grundy was fabuluous, Reid diabolical and in my view is no longer up to it; can't wait for Cox.

Phillips like Sidebottom turns it over a fair bit but overall their positives outweigh their negatives. We were smashed in a lot of stoppages in important parts of the game with Carlton's speed and overlap - pushing hard for 3/4 of the game reflected their smart hard work. We were lucky to get away with it due to their inexperience

Callum is doing well in last quarters but should have got the easy one earlier. DeGoeys soccer goal was a ripper.

Great win and a great relief to get the four points. Go Pies

(edited for spelling mistakes)

Fabulous win.

Our grit and determination in the final six minutes was magnificent. I thought we were gone, but the boys stepped up when it mattered most. I anticipated Carlton improving today compared to last week, but they caused us a lot of issues especially in the centre clearances and stuck with us for the whole game.

Grundy played one of his greatest games ever. We're very lucky to have him in our team. The mids dominating the last six minutes was one of the highlights of the day as well.

Like others, I don't think Reid did enough to warrant a secure a regular spot in the senior team. He's a good backup/depth player, but I don't think he's best 22 when everyone is fit. Could be wrong, but I suspect this year will be his last year for the club.

Not sold on Wills, but I will cut him slack as he hasn't played for nearly over two years. Think it's imperative we do everything in our power to get Sier back in the team as soon as it's realistically possible because he's certainly been missed through the middle and our weaknesses in centre clearances can be somewhat addressed with his inclusion into the senior side.

I always enjoy beating Carlton no matter the circumstances. We're one step closer to equalling the W-L record against them and hopefully surpassing them eventually.

Great result to be 6-2 at this stage and to have notched up five consecutive wins. The season is building nicely but there's plenty of work to still be done.

That last Cripps snap from 30m missed by a whispy arse hair that would’ve put them 16 points up with 7 mins to play, and likely game over

Game of inches (and in this instance, millimetres).

^ Yeah & we gotta wait until 2020 to do it.
Never in my life time have we been ahead in the win/loss ratio.

A below average game but finished strongly and a good win in the end.

I never expected an easy game here, there are no hopeless teams this year. Carlton's game against the Roos was an aberration not the norm and they were always going to respond and three important ins helped greatly.

In the end we probably only won because young teams will always struggle to run out a game. Great last quarter efforts by Brown, WHE, Treloar and Phillips.

A couple of injury concerns, Thomas and Mayne. Hopefully we get some players put their hand up in the VFL tomorrow.

Injuries are beginning to mount (but they are at almost all clubs)...

Kind of predictable how the match turned out, huh? Good thing it didn't end in disaster.

Rupert's 51% game time for a non injured midfielder has to be close to a record low.

Doesn't bode well for him getting a second shot at it. The only reason for him to play so few minutes is that he was hurting our setup, surely.

How fit is he? Sier's game time has been around 57% in the past.

We were putrid today, and lucky to get the win.

In saying that, it was priceless to stick it up the pompous, arrogant Bluebaggers by running over the top of them in 5minsi, when it was looking grim for 115mins of the match. To do it in front of their '79 team was just a beautiful thing. It was great for our supporters and our club to experience beating them like that. It's not going to change history, but small steps. We can do with filling our memory banks with wins like this against these toffs.

Make no mistake, if they had won they'd still be pumping out "Da da da da..." in ithe bellows of the MCG. Your GF is done now you Bagger clowns, go back to losing to the Gold Coast, and collecting more no.1 draft picks. Oh wait, you already gave that up for Stocker lol.
