I think its about intensity for him , just staying in the game for 4 quarters , for a little bloke he has a monster kick on him. Good Luck to him.

No need to think of delisting him anytime soon; just keep applying himself in the VFL and plying the craft. Nothing wrong with grooming our mids stock through the system over time, as opposed to poaching them from other clubs.

I dont think anyone is thinking about delisting him. He's contracted for another year anyway.

Had a very good outing in the VFL over the weekend.

So lets see. 2019 ended and Josh played a further 5 games, giving him 17 games in his three seasons at the club.

When Stephenson was suspended, I thought Daicos would be the obvious replacement. JS was suspended after QBH in round 12. Daicos made his season debut in round 15. So he had to wait a little longer.

In his season debut, we got thumped by North, but from what I can remember, he didnt have that bad of a match. I know he had a good season in the VFL and we know he has the attributes, but can he break in and keep his spot in 2020?

If Elliott chose to leave, that may have opened a spot for him. Bit he may be battling guys like JT and Nobel for the small mid/fwd type.

He is yet to turn 21, but I feel like his 2020 needs to be better.

Unfortunately Josh is relatively slow for and AFL player of his height (only 5ft 10).
He is also not an inside grunt player so speed is important for that type.

Needs to build a hardness that we have not really seen yet. If he doesnt, then he may find he leaves the club just before his brother arrives...

I'm amazed he didn't seek a trade to another club, as I can't see him breaking into our senior team in 2020.

Last chance next year, absolutely. As some have pointed out, age is on his side, and he'll presumably get a chance – but he really needs to carve out some kind of role, as he's yet to find any kind of settled place in the team.

Hopefully over the summer period, he will do something to improve himself (surely his old man has got more footy wisdom than all the Nicksters combined) and have a breakout year in 2020!

Just a thought: after drafting his younger bro Nick next year....

one day wouldn't it be romantic to see two Browns and two Daicos running onto the G together...

He’s a Daicios and there’s a thing called second year blues. For me that’s enough to give him a modest two year contract extension

You’re either a star, a role player, a young player or a list clogger. He’s just graduated to the latter for mine. Crocker has been there a while.
