Resting Grundy this week might cost him the first of his 5 Brownlow Medals. |

Reid is by his great career an accredited A grade back man being asked to do a different role
Friday night (I just rewatched it) and he fulfilled what was asked of him
His first and second efforts using his experience was excellent—can’t mark ok I’ll knock it or halt opponents run to help team mate
In fact I think he had 9 goal assist,s _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

He is now match fit for the first time in years.
Like Wells he is an A grader when fit.
Keep playing him when this rare thing occurs.
Will it last.... probably not but hey any game by Reid or Wells is a bonus. |
That’s a good point in itself about playing good VFL footy EVERY WEEK before he was promoted.
This is the type of ongoing VFL form you need to be competitive when you step up to the next level.
I get bemused by the calls for Sier and Quaynor to be promoted when they simply haven’t done enough in a lower grade.
Appleby was another one who was in good nick before his injury and Wills has been consistent too. On that form, it’s either one of those two who we will see in the seniors next. |

^ I think those calls tend to come from people who don't watch the VFL matches.
Personally, I can't see Wills playing another senior game, barring injuries. He seems to me to lack the ball-handling skills required at the top level. |
