^ They're neck and neck.

I think I'm guilty of recency bias.

The Cox 10-minute burst was great theatre. For pure football judgements, though, the quality of the oppo matters, and Geebung 2007-12 was about a thousand times better than the '18 PF oppo.

Has to be the first quarter of the preliminary final against Geelong in 2010.

Surely, this is without question.

I mean did any of us really think THAT was going to happen, so emphatically???? What pure joy it was to behold and enjoy...

The Librarian smother by Shaw in the 2010 GF replay - the best play I have seen.

I reckon he covered the ground in about an 11 second 100 metre time

Cometti's commentary just made it all the better

You could almost hear the Saints heart's collectively breaking after that.

The Club is the best Collingwood play I know about, “Collingwood; you ruined my life” by Kieran Butler (1970) is a hoot

This one for me, I have watched us tear Glong a new one so many tines, my favourite ever 1/4 of footy, when Leroy Brown kicked the crooked one I knew we were home, the footy Gods for once were on our side, and when Gablett walked alone off the ground at half time I knew he was leaving.

Followed by Dane swan tummy rub goal

And Harry in the GF sliding it in, I cry every time!!!

So many great occasions by Nickster,s and all fantastic but I feel I’d like to
throw in one that may not be a classic

With Redlegs a monty to win 1958 flag and equal our 1927 -30 record I went to the G with more hope than confidence

Three hours later I raised the cup of success to my lips

With The Weed enforcer as he was had 18 players looking over their shoulder

And Barry “Hooker” Harrison belting Ronald Dale Barassi frequently we won a glorious victory

History lost by one and history made by the other

Proudest day I ever left the G

The Smother of the Century.

Followed by Leigh Brown's genius and totally calculated off-cutter for goal against the Cats in the 2010 Prelim.

Anyone turn up at Scums ground April 26 in 1969—after a halftime all in brawl
we came out 9 goals to Scums 10
At three qtr time we had kicked a further 12 goals and dirtbags 2 points

Last qtr they outscored us 3 goals to 2

Bob Rose moved Ian Grahame to FF and McKenna to CHF

Macca kicked three but our brilliant John Greening was awresome kicking 7

Oh how sweet it was

Any love for the 1990 Premiership team going on with the job after the quarter time brawl instead of being distracted like Essendon?
