We have discussed Grand Finals so

What’s your most exciting play or game in your time watching Pie,

I’m putting up a great individual game that produced 11 goals to our score

But when Phil Carmen came onto ground with white boots no one would have imagined a complete game —kicking goals from marks ,from general play

A complete dominant game —it was this game he got the Fabulous Phil tag

What was your choice

when was the last time we had a player kick 11 in a game? i feel like we would be going back a few decades.

I remember seeing BT kick 12 goals 2 at the SCG in 1985. I was a kid and marked every one in my footy record. From then on, I wore the number 9.

Would have to be my first trip to the G.

Easter Monday v the filth when McGuane kicked the goal of the year. It was Bucks third... or 4th game for the Pies and the goal he kicked b4 McGuanes was insane.
The ressies game was a draw, just a memorable day all round.

Daicos, 1990 GF, first quarter, first goal.
Starcevich whacks the ball forward, Daics does the rest.
Set the tone for the rest of the day after Ess got off to a flyer via Salmon.
If Daicos doesn’t kick that remarkable goal from the boundary, who knows what happens that day.

The occasion, the actual kick itself, the end result.

Heath Shaw’s smother not too far behind.

Bucks got a kick just out of the back pocket, found a target just short of the wing, ran on and received a handball just past the wing, took a bounce, steadied and drilled it from 60m. The ball went back to the middle then Mick did his 7 bouncer. I still get the hairs on the back of my neck standing up every time I mention it!

Probably Sav Rocca (11) vs Freo, 1998.
Before that, probably Daicos (14) vs Bears, early 90s.

^Could it have been Rd10.1988 when #36 kicked 11.1?

I was at the game and it was a brilliant individual performance which won us the game. Matthew Burton was also great all day and nearly dragged them over the line at Vic Park. I think Pebble only kicked 1 goal from memory

The best play - I'm going to put it in as a 'team' effort, it was that game where we came back in the last 5 minutes of a game vs Carlton where Craig Starcevich kicked like 2 of the 3 goals?

The Lonie to A.Rocca 65m bomb goal and ensuing “loudest ever noise at a football game” is a clear nominee.

Daicos got 13 at Carrarra. I was talking to Mick McGuane and Craig Starcevich at Jupiters afterwards and Mick said it was single handedly the best forward game he had seen. He siad at half time the message was "just kick it forward and leave room for Daicos". As a joke I put ten bucks on 35 at the roulette table we were at and it came up.

Saw McKenna kick 16.1 at Vic Park against South Melbourne after the u19s coaches brother got me into the rooms before and after the game. The behind hit the post.

Oh, writing 14 was a mistake. It should have been about 15. Why did he think it was necessary to go for a torp (unsuccessfully) for that set shot from only about 35-40m out?
