WHE is training and it was noted he kicked 42 in 2018—-2 a game average
There’s some missing and add a quieter Thomas and Stevo

We gotta get those goals happening by dominating the centre clearances

Generally kicking the ball between the two biggest sticks at the attacking end results in goals. That's where they come from.

'Where do I come from?' Is a book that is quite informative. Check that one out one day. Buy it from any good book stores. It gives good basic answers to often asked questions like this one.

Reveals an interesting stat actually.

After 3 rounds we've kicked almost the same score as last seasons first 3 rounds - 37.29 - 37.24.

Thanks, Skids.

A couple more interesting stats are that over the first 3 games of 2019, we rank 3rd last for inside 50s on 145, with Footscray first on 200 (West Coast is second last, which indicates that they are very efficient when they do go forward - I think we all knew that); 2nd last for tackles on 148 (Hawthorn have laid 211); 2nd for marks inside 50; 4th-last for clearances; 1st for kicks; 1st for marks and 2nd for disposals. Perhaps the most interesting figure is that we are way out ahead as 1st in uncontested possessions on 814, 85 ahead of 2nd-placed Adelaide (729). On those stats, the gameplan (or its implementation so far) appears to be radically different from last year.

We're lacking a spread of goal kickers. In a strange way I feel that having Jamie back in the side has upset last year's dynamic somehow. Stevo isn't being played enough in the forward line for mine. JT looks lost. Our forwards last year had some kind of ESP between them. This year, they're a bit out of sync. WHE is proving to be a big loss but I don't think that explains it. We seem to be getting all of our goals from De Goey which is unhealthy and predictable as on his own he doesn't win games. I'm sure they don't mind him kicking 4-5 so long as the rest of our forwards have no impact.

Last year we had 28 goal kickers, so far this year, we've had 13.

2018 we had 7 players averaging more than 1 goal a game; JDG, WHE, JT, Stevo, Cox, Checkers & Reid.

So far this year we have 5; JDG, Checkers, Billy, Cox & Treloar.

We obviously need more from; Pendles, Sidey, Stevo & Beams. WHE's return can't come quick enough! Hopefully he'll be back in the 2-3 weeks the club are saying. With a bit of luck, Wells can be slotting a few soon too.

But, we've only used 24 players this year, so far. Last year we used 39.
Of those 28 goal kickers last year, 4 (Oxley, Brown, Langdon & Pig) only kicked 1 & another 4 (Wells, Sier, Maynard & Howe) kicked 2.

WHE is vital to our forward line and big Cox really needs to start clunking the footy and converting his chances more frequently.
I thought JT was going to kick on this year, so far, he's been pretty quiet.
