The whole AFL is unprofessional. It's quite extraordinary the basis on which people are hired for jobs at AFL clubs.

The interstate home-ground advantage is as huge as ever, sadly. It diminishes the whole AFL.

^ More their fans than their players. Where is their president? Ours is constantly on air or screen.

To be fair, Essendon have done a good job to turn it around from their round 1 embarrassment Vs GWS and their shock loss to the Saints in round 2.

I guess it goes to show you cant judge too harshly too early on.

In saying that their wins have come against Melbourne, Brisbane and the Kangaroos. Two of those teams occupy the bottom 2.

I honestly feel that Collingwood should have put them away. We were all over them and didnt put it on the scoreboard. Were we the better side? We we just lucky? I think our own mistakes and lack of converting goals kept them in it.

So we'll see how they respond and if they can make the 8.

Here's their next 4:
Vs Cats (MCG)
Vs Swans (SCG)
Vs Freo (Marvel)
Vs Rich (MCG)

We play them again in round 23, and you never know, we might see them again not long after that.

Personally, I hope they go back to their round 1 form.

Nothing to be positive about. They've beaten nobody and if we hadn't let them off the hook with inept disposal, they'd be wondering how to bridge the 12-goal gap between them and us. They're not going to worry anybody at the business end of the season, certainly not us.

I hope Hird never has a role in AFL again.

No one still really knows what he endorsed being pumped into his players veins.

Appalling.

They're $2.55 to beat the cats.

My friend says they have the wood on Geelong.

I say 5 wins since 2002 says otherwise:
https://afltables.com/afl/teams/essendon/allgames_tm.html#9

Or 4 wins from their past 19 matches.... But they have won the last two games.
