Good news: Geebung are now flag favourites at $4.
Bad news: we're still next at $4.50. |

Watching the Geelong v West Coast game yesterday our loss to Geelong doesn't seem so bad now
One of the commentators said yesterday that West Coasts form since the win over us has been horrible the thoughts were that they got up for the replay but seem to lack the same killer instinct since
They've been exposed across the ground with consecutive losses to port and Geelong
As for expectations I think we are a genuine top 6 team barring massive injuries to key planks
A bit of luck and good run we are a top 4 side and who knows from there
Flags aren't won in April but can be lost |

Before the win too. They were smashed by Brissy in R1. We obviously made them look better than they are. |

I don’t normally do ifs and buts in sport BUT if we had kicked 11 9 instead of 9 11 against the cats, we would likely be on top of the ladder right now.
The other take away from the Cats Eagles game is the Eagles still won the clearances but got smashed on the scoreboard. For me, it’s another reminder that clearances can be very overrated. Of course you still want to win the clearance but the consequence of the clearance is way more important. |

Well, we did last year, too. They were a middling team but have a flag to show for it. |

Ah, thank you for the measured, realistic expectation qldmagpie67. Much appreciated. |

yeah, right. Trying to keep a lid on things. Let the players keep a lid on things. Nice try!
We are top 4 and we will win the flag! Because we have Langdon on our side! _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Our draw is looking good now after a pretty tough start to the year.
If we hold form and win the next three games we're in a good position to land top 2.
Wouldn't surprise to see Bombers get the Cats this week. |

Unfortunately the big bodies and talls all over the park in both Geel and WCE teams is pretty much why our two losses this year have come against them.
Two undesirable match ups in my opinion. Some teams just don’t match up ideally. These are our two horror match ups this season unless we change our thinking vs both teams. Yeah, we were unlucky to not beat geelong round one, but they played nearly as badly as we did that game. They’ve been much better since, as have we. _________________ Est. 2002 |

The last three years have been three missed opportunities, but the Window of Mediocrity looks like it's still wide open. |

The bookies think we have a 70% chance of beating Port. Is that too high? |
