I was up in Tocumwal for the day. Frigging hot the previous day but much milder in the morning.

I went for a stroll down to the foreshore Saturday market, which was suitably adorned with lots of Australiana and flags, then down the back of the foreshore where a couple hundred people were in attendance for the Australia Day commemoration ceremony along with the local council version of Australia day awards. Noted each light post in the main street had an Australian Flag decoration hanging from it.

Back to the house, breakfast, few jobs then lunch and watch the start of day 3 of the test match. Nice bit up front to celebrate Australia Day with the National Anthem played and a local Indigenous Elder doing a Welcome to Country.

Walk down the beach, all the people down there kicking back in camp or having a swim, swam back to the boatramp and walked home.

Watched the news to see a few thousand people protesting against Australia Day, several getting over heated and violent requiring Police intervention and then the many more thousands of people attending Australia day celebrations, smiling and having a good time.

Down to one of the local pubs in walking distance for an Aussie mixed grill (with salad instead of chips) for dinner, couple of schooners and a glass of red, then back home to chill in front of the air con and idiot box with a bottle of red.

Chilled out day, no angst. I guess the green inner city lefties don't leave their native habitat much, none visible up bush.

Played bowls like any other Saturday, didn't do anything different. Worked today and might work tomorrow as well.

Pennant or social bowls?

I'm thinking of taking that up when I get old, it seems pretty easy.

Spent the morning filling a bloody big skip with the last of 64 years of furniture, garden stuff, rubbish etc from my inlaws house. In a couple of days the road will be closed while they work on the tunnel, and the sale goes though in three weeks. Ozzie da6 lunch at a friends with a few people, and to my sister-in-law’s (hubbies bros wife) to celebrate her birthday, supposed to go out for dinner, but she cooked all afternoon! Great food, great conversation. Reminiscing. My first Ozzie da6 as an Ozzie, and 10 year Anniversary of moving into our house, it wasn’t quite finished, no gas, no hot water! But we were finally in! Cheers, Happy Australia Day Stu!

Went camping in Kendalls (camping spot up past Marysville). Bit crowded, but nice to sleep in a tent for the first time since Ingmar was born!

Cheers TP. When I've done a year then I know O'm sticking to the food choices or as my GP says: It's not a doet but a lifestyle!!

"The Game" is an OK cold war series, we've just seen episode 1.

I'll know more in a few more episodes.

Dealt with a teething baby. Had 2 days between his first and second teeth coming through that were kind of chilled in the last 2 weeks or so.
