Thanks AP, really appreciate these training reports.

As an aside, on the news the other night they mentioned that Treloar has done a calf (they didn't say how long ago he did it).

Be interesting to see how he is when he next appears at training..

why is it that players who suffer serious injuries seem to suffer lots of injuries to other parts of their bodies on their return? Interesting how that happens. I wonder if they favor their injury in any way creating pressure on other parts of the body......

IQ looking good and Billy moving well.

Many thanks for the thread AP, hope it continues as u suggest

Some great looks at our insane array of talent! IQ certainly looking the goods, determined, & hard at it. I thought Darcy looked good in a couple of things, a helluva graceful player, as is the Skip - still looking smooth as one of those really smooth smoothies with lots of smooth things in it. Daics looks like he's a bit angrier & dare I say harder, gotta be a good thing. Mayne looks like he's been there 15 years, & Billy sure is moving well.
The early part of our season will come down to how many of these guys are fit for selection when Rd.1 rolls around.

We look beautiful physically, I was just as interested to know how we are mentally, as in the "culture". The few signs I've seen are very good, but then looks can be awfully deceiving. Jayzuz, I hope the rumour about Teloar's calf is horse hockey.

Watching the guys like this it seems hard to imagine anyone beating us. But then I've thought that before. including last year... oh wait... A big worry for me is the idiot new rules. They could certainly hinder us, who the flock does Andy think he is?

Do we REALLY need January? I'd be happy to go from December straight to Feb. Are we doing AFLX again?

Go Pies!

Can anyone identify who it is (in the pink vest receiving the Sidebottom handpass) at 1:19 - 1:22 in Monday's video above?

Hungrily watching every video of of training—-the latest (yesterday) It was heavy on movement of ball forward and in particular being peripheral with your part of transport of ball either yourself or teammates in the clear

Just watched it work in real time as I watched a You Tube of Prelim 2018

Me too but what is the general feeling of their training process ???

Early prior to the 2018 campaign their was a lot of emphasis on ball use

Video from Monday same but a slight tweak to in close translation ball passage

Players being schooled (trained) to be alert to your options using perciferial vision

A central ball procuring group with right and left options to dish off and break into open

Listening to a video on the clubs website the fitness guy said all our training was basically based around football related exercise like they would do in a match
He said they try to keep the football in the players hands as much as possible
I personally think it's a great idea and our improved skills and ball movement last season make you think it's worked for us
I like how Boyd, Sanderson, Harvey take control of the pre season stuff basically allowing Bucks to sit back and watch closely

Think a lot of thought ( a real group input ) and I suspect all coaches add bits to arrive at what we saw last year which beggars an old school saying

“When your on a good thing stick to it”

There will be elements that re shape our game —-the match fitness and inclusion of Moore Elliott and even Wells and nu blood being injected

The fact that it’s a well oiled plan is the lieutenant,s can run the show till the Boss gets back full time

I think a lot of it is working to an optimal 22 to take the field the first round next year. Players are being carefully matched up in the drills to find who is better. There’s a pecking order going on. Preferred team order. Who can come in and replace who if someone can’t take the field.

Dunne was expecting to return for Round 1 but in an interview he was less sure —-had needed another knee arthroscopy a fortnight ago

“When i come back wether it’s round one or round ten ,who knows—I can’t really set a target yet”
